Gallagher with another goal.

I got a feeling he'll be the steal of the 2010 Draft.

Ever see him lose a foot-race for a loose puck?

Me either.

I am really loving this Alex Galchenyuk & Brendan Gallagher duo.

I'm so excited for the next seasons

Its a bit of a funny comparison, but he does remind me of marchand in certain ways. Not in the extra curricular stuff, but more in terms of skating and release

i like how he uses himself. a few games ago, i remember him checking a guy near or into the corner where the puck was also following lose closeby. and he used the springboard effect from his bodycheck to direct himself to the puck. like he actually bounced himself off the guy and in the direction of the puck. and there was at least one other play where he bounced himself off someone to get in front of the net and i think it either led to a scoring chance or a goal.

Why do all the announcers thing Gallagher is a micro midget? He's the same size as Cammalleri, who isn't huge, but is a solid guy. Should fill out to be 5'9" 185 like Camm. He's bigger than Gionta / St. Louis type players easily.

I'm not sure who it was, but he hit someone in front of the bench late in the game there. The guy must have been an easy foot taller than him and he almost ended up over the boards. Kid is not afraid.

5th in the NHL for pts per 60 min (ES).

3rd in shots per 60 min (ES). (Pacioretty is 1st)

Impressive.

He's the single biggest difference this year. Yes, Gallagher is the single biggest difference. His production is very good by itself, but his style of constant engagement and net-crashing is symbolic of everything our offense is doing right this year. The same way Pacioretty became a star last year by watching Cole and thinking, "Oh, so THAT'S how it's done!", the whole team is watching this kid's hyper-aggressive forechecking and thinking, "Holy shytte!! Am I competing as much as this small rookie??" Gallagher has set the standard for his intense, insane drive for the net... and it's contagious.

Gallagher exceeded all my expectations, cant believe how good he is.. I rarely saw a so small player being so tough to knock off the puck.. He is nothing less than AWESOME and certainly has a legit shot at the Calder..

He seems to find another level when the team is down in the 3rd period. We saw it with Team Canada at the junior level against Russia, we saw it in tampa a couple weeks ago, we saw it against boston in the last game, and it was on full display against buffalo too.

I was thinking to myself that Gallagher simply couldn't find his legs tonight. All of a sudden, he turns into a beast once again in the 3rd period. What does this mean? Gallagher doesn't quit, and absolutely hates to lose. As a fan, you can't help but get real excited about these kinds of players.

Brace yourself for a classic HFBoards overreaction here:

Brendan Gallagher looks like a guy who could be Captain in five years.

I've been thinking that as well to be honest. Could see him with an A while Gorges has the C, and then eventually a C himself.

I always liked this kid but I figured that he might be this good in a career year and I DEFINITELY didn't think he'd make the team this year. Never would've thought that he actually might have superstar potential. Fingers crossed knocking on reverse jinx wood.
