We just need someone to turn the Josefson line into something that doesn't look like a fourth line. This team will struggle as long as CBGB looks like our third line.
Sabres fans are super down on Myers. I wonder if Buffalo would like Tallinder back to stabilize things. They have a lot of forwards I wouldn't mind having.
After the first 7 games I really can't understand why anyone would want to trade Tallinder. He and Greene have easily been our 2 most consistent D-men there is a reason Pete and Lou speak so highly of Tally.

Tallinder would net something more reasonable than anyone else.
Trade Tallinder
Reunite Greene & Fayne
Slide Larsson in with Sal
Let Zid go down to the 3rd pairing with Volch and eat less EV minutes.

You gotta give to get and this team needs forwards badly.
None of the Dmen looked any good today though so hopefully any scouts at the game were enjoying their food vouchers instead.

We HAVE to trade someone. Having 8 NHL D-men is silly. Tallinder is the most movable. I'd like to hang on to Greene and Fayne. Sal and Volch have unmovable contracts, and Volch and Zid have NTC's. So it's Tallinder.
Weird that Anderson was sent down and nobody else called up or signed. Feels like Lou is looking to make a move
We keep saying that, but I'll believe it when I see it. Everyone thought there'd be a move Friday, I kinda figured it would be Harrold playing up front.

You could at least justify it if we had last year's lineup. It is silly now that we have two fourth lines and still haven't replaced the 60 goals that Parise/Sykora/Poni had last year. Hoarding defensemen when we're bereft up front is like hoarding water and not getting any food as a result. Sure, water's essential but eventually you have to eat too.

It doesn't matter how many goals you score if you can't keep the puck out of your own net.
Before a defenseman is traded, I think finding defensive pairings and line combinations that can play well together at both ends of the ice is key.
Defensive zone breakdowns are killing the team's chances to win games, so I think they needed to be sure that Larsson can help stop the bleeding before they deal anybody away.
Larsson still looks a little wet behind the ears, but his breakout is better than anyone else's and he holds the zone better than the others as well. Two things that could really help this team.
One or two more games out of him that prove that he can play at this level still, and then I think we'll start seeing some moves.
Well Fayne isn't going to be the one traded, and that's even more obvious after the last two games. Most of the rest of them look like they're worried about getting traded or benched, letting things fester isn't always good.
Trades won't be made for the sake of trades, I think we know that much by now.
If I'm making a guess based purely on gut instinct.. I say this current roster that went up against the Penguins today is not going to be the same roster on paper that goes against the Penguins next week.

The Sabres are already overstocked at mediocre D, and none of their forwards outside of Vanek are producing. They're pretty much in the same boat we are.
I know we have an abundance of D men but who's in dire need of one now? And who, realistically could we get back in return?
Dallas and Detroit still need defensemen, I think. The Blues are set now that Redden is actually looking like a first-pairing defenseman again. Great job on that one, Rangers.
