I really dont get those few posters in here that want Lucic or even worse Chara to fight Orr.
Even if they win the fight you lose them for 5 mins and nothing would make the Leafs happier than 5mins without Chara on the ice. And what happens if they lose or get seriously hurt?
I just dont see trying to prove a point against Orr is worth the risks associated with it.

Chara is off the ice for generally 30-35 minutes anyways...not sure what the big deal is... He's not a goalie.

I love a good fight as much as anybody. But I thought the object was to win. I didn't get the memo I guess.
If Orr and MacDermid go as the designated cement heads....fine. Only reason for Chara or Lucic to beat of Orr is if he steps out of his role and runs skill players.

Exactly. Not worth the broken nose there... Orr is the most dangerous fighter in the league.
MacDermid has already lost two convincing fights vs McLaren this year, so I hope he keeps his gloves on... Don't want to see another Bruin dropped two games in a row,

Orr is a goon and I don't want anyone on the B's off the ice because of him.

This is what would worry me if I was a Bruins fan. A severe concussion or blown out shoulder is a real possibility. Not worth it imo.

It's not the 5 minutes for me personally, but unnecessarily increased injury risk. I'm fine with Chara or Looch fighting when it's the result of of something that happened on the ice and warranted a response, but not in "staged" fights against 5 mins a night goons.
Oh yeah and Orr beats up anyone on this team, no question, maybe except Chara if Z hugs him quick enough.

Lucic is a hothead with a short fuse so it wouldn't surprise me if they go at it. I expect Lucic to lose if that happens. If I were the Leafs, I would try to piss him off by targeting another player.

I could see Lucic winning but it still wouldn't be worth the risk or trade off. But I agree with you, its in our best interest to try to bait him into a stupid fight.
