Would just equal the amount of Bolland lost faceoff posts

Good to know his knee didn't buckle.

Probably a really bad contusion or something of that nature.

Ah, good to hear it was caused by a slash rather than the knee just buckling. Likely rules out some of the more ugly stuff.

I'm not medical expert, but getting a slash probably means a fracture or a deep bone bruise/contusion at worst.

Still, give Pirri his shot.

Just tell Danault to do something insane and get kicked out of the Q so we can play him asap.

It was Bolland's reaction that was alarming. It was the type of reaction that indicates he knows he is gone for a while. Hopefully it was just a stinger that felt worse than it was.

I don't blame hansen for this. Was a lot of traffic there and it was just accidental.

Hope he'll be back soon. I don't see a call up for today. Just go with Mayers and change the lines a bit.

Hey guys,

Looks like an accidental play. Hope Bolland's injury is just a bruise or soreness and nothing worse.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think any CHI fans were upset with Hansen on that play. On that gif, it looks like it was high-ankle. I can't see him being out more than a game or two.

Yeah that angle makes it look way less severe. Was very worried that it was a knee issue. Still a little concerned about his reaction to it though....

X-rays can be done pretty quickly (unlike a MRI). If its a break, we'd know really soon

Put Kane and Hossa together

Sharp plays with Toews.

So Kane goes back to centre, despite being more comfortable on the wing and despite putting up 11 points in 8 games as a winger?

If anything, put Sharp and Hossa together and Toews with Kane.. but, I really don't get why anyone would break up the Saad/Toews/Hossa line at this point.

Give Pirri a shot or move Kruger up. I'd prefer the former since Kruger's been great finally playing the role he's currently suited for, but these two are definitely options ahead of Shaw.

Agree with HTB, don't want to break up Saad's line.

I'm kind of at the point where I just want Pirri to get a legit chance so we know, once in for all, what we have in Pirri. He doesn't have to light the world on fire offensively, people should know he's a capable scorer, but he can't look out of place in his own zone like he did last year.

Putting him between Sharp and Kane, with the way Sharp's been playing would be a real test for him in his own zone.. but, I don't think it'll matter because I don't think Bolland's going to be out too long and unless Shaw is absolutely awful tonight, we probably won't see any call-ups.

Not a fan of that idea. Kaner needs finishers on his line. Kruger might be the worst finisher on this team.

Kane doesn't have to be on the 2nd line with Kruger. Could always bump him up to the 1st with Toews.

That said, Kruger still isn't a 2nd line center, but the only person on this roster who is (Sharp) is apparently forbidden from playing there.

Sharp just needs to play center period and stop being a jine jine about it

6-0-2 says don't change too much unless necessary, and I'm no advocating using Kane at 2C ... but if Q decides to try Kaner at 2C until Bolland is back, I wouldn't trying these lines:

Saad-Toews-Stalberg
Sharp-Kane-Hossa
Frolik-Kruger-Shaw
Bickell-Mayers-Bollig

Is Bolland a finisher?
