As a matter of fact, I didn't. It was just on the HNiC highlights. The way the announcers described it was Crosby and Elias going at it after the play and a non-call. I was basing my comments on that.

haha typical. hfboards poster sees "crosby" and "dive" put together and hammers away only to admit, "yeah i didnt even see it, but its popular on here to bash sid, so i'm going to"

Come on, now... I'm not going to defend the play as I think Sid did go down to buy a penalty call. But are you kidding me with this?

Crosby was yelling at Elias like Patty actually did something wrong. Total embellishment.

Can we please see a ****ing video for one of these 'alleged' Canucks dives?

Like, this is ridiculous. A bunch of accusations and no evidence. Meanwhile, we've got proof of one by Brown and one by Kopitar both brushed off with excuses.

Ridiculous.

As I alluded to, I saw the video clip of the play and commented on how Crosby reacted. I didn't see the game itself and was unaware a penalty was called, just that sequence with comments by the HNiC panel between periods of the Habs-Sabres game. Sorry for being unclear.

So, yes, thanks, I did see the play and made my own conclusions. Was this the play for which Elias was called for holding? If so, it makes the sequences even sillier.

Yep. I hate that crap, too. Briere is a long-time notorious diver, as well. I don't relish any player -- Flyer or other -- pulling a stunt like that to prompt a PP. That's why the Simmonds-Erskine play resonated to a number of posters even if they dislike his team, I believe; Simmonds is not known to embellish so one could be reasonably confident immediately (ie, without slo-mo replay) that he really got hit.

While sitting on the bench he gets hit with a stick while he was looking the other way theny sticks his hand up to protect his face because he has no idea what just happened.

People are just posting crap because they have the other teams now. Even worse are the people that keep maintaining something happen even when it didn't, when challenged refuse to provide video because they know it makes them look like liars and fools.

The biggest dive so far has been the quality of argument in this thread.

Also, how come no one else gets a bitter youtube warrior to post all their teams "dives"?

You mean one of many by Chris Neil. Not normal to lose balance in a theatral way when you're barrely shoved by Emelin.

It was Bouillon. Hardly a dive either way.

Because the media does it

Mak is simply pointing out the ones that are being ignored

No, Mak is cherry picking falls and borderline "dives" from Bruin's players and other teams that are playing the Canucks.
