That goal was on Huskins. He needed to get that puck out. And our PP still sucks. Break up Dats and Z. Kronwall is still garbage.

Sadly we need either Hank or Pav to go beast mode if we want to leave with a point or more tonight.
We really need Helmer back, and as much as I dislike him having a spot over Nyquist, I think we're missing Sammy. He could probably help our bottom 6 in the scoring department.

Whats funny is that Cleary bad mouths Babcock in private every chance he gets.

Um...we DO need "another" offensive defenseman. As in, another in addition to the ONE we have: Kronwall.

Anyone thinking White, Quincey, Kindl, Huskins, or Lashoff are anything but gap fillers who are NEITHER offensive nor defensive is out of their mind. Just because none of those guys scores any points does NOT mean they are solid defensive anchors.

looking lethargic tonight. Wondering if it's worth sticking around for the third or if I should venture off to other things.

Its ALWAYS been that bad. Kronwall has never been a particularly good point man. He's great at stepping up into the slot and getting goals, but he's only good on the point when hes dishing out the passes.

Also how come Kronner is the only shooter on the PP now. I thought that is why we had Brunner, but now it seems like he just plays set up for Kronwall.

You're better off doing other things. This is just a pathetic showing. It had so much promise too... Big setback, that's for sure. We could have gotten back into the race for the Central tonight. Nothing comes easy with this team, ever.

Huskins had an opportunity to clear the pucks a few seconds earlier and biffed it. Of course Quincey lost track of his man and Mule was oblivious. But none the less! Huskins ****ed up.

Kindl still could develop into a solid defensive D, though largely I agree with you. We have a bunch of guys holding down spots, hoping they don't actively hurt us by being on the ice. Which is fine, every team needs one or two guys like that...having five is a bit of an overkill, though.

Sorry, when people say "offensive defenseman" I typically think they're talking about a guy kind of sucks as a defender and has a job in the NHL because he contributes offensively.

My point is that I think the Wings need at least one guy that can actually defend well. Just one would be nice.

Sometimes I wonder how Douglas Murray would look in the Winged Wheel.

every time i see brunner open in the slot they either wait too long to pass it to him or opt for the dozenth pass back to the point

Cleary isn't producing. Datsyuk is, so why not put them together to try and get Cleary going? I don't see the problem with that.

I've always been a supporter of Babcock, but he continues to stick to the same game plan he's had since he started with the Wings. No adaption whatsoever.

For example, we've seen some good things from Brunner, and they've almost exclusively been around the net and down low. Just because he's a right-handed shot does NOT mean he's a good option for the point on the PP.

Z needs to be on the point during the PP if Babdick insists on keeping Pavel and Z together on the PP. I have no idea why Brunner is still playing point.

I'm ok with it as long as it is a last resort to get Cleary going before they ship his ass outta here for a half empty gatorade.
