The only name I've seen that I think would make sense is D'Agostini. He would be reasonably cheap and can play some tweener minutes while we heal up and trick O'Reilly into signing. I do think with a shortened season and Blues going for it this year, they might want to hang on to him for depth.

I can see no reason why Avs would give ice time to the likes of Tedenby/LeBlanc/Loktionov over Sgarbossa.

D'Ags is certainly available, and he is more than capable of play a 2nd or 3rd line winger role. However, he doesn't have a ton of value, and the Blues have quite a few bottom pairing Dmen(what I would imagine D'Ags would bring back by himself) so it just doesn't make a lot of sense for the Blues. Stewart for EJ?

SOB is signed for 3 years. If you're looking for someone else that is longer, your best bet is a young prospect.

Too much volume, I think we'd be looking for just 1 younger winger-style player with potential but who maybe isn't fitting in where they currently are, and I don't think we'll be giving draft picks either, but I could be wrong on that one

Someone create a three way trade in which Yandle goes to Colorado, Ryan O'Reilly comes to Phoenix (along with a little something extra) and the Coyotes don't add anything else.

Something like:

Colorado:
Yandle
Team X forward

Phoenix:
O'Reilly (signed to a five year, twenty four million deal)
Something extra (no contracts, just futures) from team X

Team X:
Colorado defenseman

I really would love to see any of the following in COL. Not saying any of these make sense, just my wish list of sorts.

Okposo (highly doubt that happens. i think NYI know he has great potential and will be patient)

Paajarvi (also don't see it happening but if ever a player needed a new home, he seems like it)

Frolik (CHI lost Bolland the other night, but Frolik is toiling on the 4th line most of the time. I'd like to see what he could do w/Duchene given players like Flash/Mueller/PAP look well in COL)

Picks for D'Ags then?

I'd love to have him on the Avs, think he'd be a solid pickup.

I'd move a conditional 2014 2nd for him. If he doesn't resign with us either the 2nd becomes a 3rd, or we get a 5th?

No, we aren't moving D'Agostini for that kind of pick.
He has more value as a weapon coming off the bench in the PO's than any pick you'd be willing to move for him.

We would definitely have interest in Hejda, though i doubt you'd be willing to move him for Dag's.

I haven't had a chance to watch him lately, but how has Shane O'Brien looked? Has he figured out how to be an effective crease clearer yet(he certainly has the size and mean streak for it, but it also takes a level of restraint that I didn't see from him back in 10-11)? If he could play an Andy Sutton/Bryan Allen role we might be interested in him. We could use a big bodied bruiser on the blueline as an answer to a PF type, but I am not convinced O'Brien is that type of player yet.

I think a coach like Hitchcock might be perfect for Shane O'Brien. He's big, tough and pretty good with the puck but does too much when he's on the ice. He needs to someone that demands he keeps things simple and he might be a #4-5 guy on a good team.

To add Colorado gives up the 2 best pieces.

Phoenix will need a lot more than that if they give up Yandle.

Colorado is fine down the middle short term. The areas of concern are on the wing due to Landeskog and Downie being out of the line-up. The $16 million dollar man David Jones is struggling mightily and is also banged up.

Assuming they weren't division rivals, a guy like Devon Setoguchi would be a nice fit.

Wow the rest of the league has no idea how bad our 1-way dmen excluding Erik Johnson and occasionally Jan Hejda are. I'd gladly trade one of Wilson/ROB/SOB/Hunwick/Zanon if we get back the return some of the folks here are proposing.

Connolly would be a decent bandaid and the Leafs would probably pick up most of his salary. certainly wouldn't cost much, probably no roster player needed.

Over Sgarbossa, no. Sgarbossa (I may be biased because he comes from just outside my hometown) deserves his time. Only bump him for like Okposo or D'Ags. He'll be good for you.
But with all the injuries piling up and Radar standing firm you guys do have a need on forward and Tedenby, Loki or Leblanc would help.
