That's not really an excuse though. Hockey teams play back to backs all the time. They are pros, they could have won this game but we played hard and we earned this W.

I voted for the Hagelin/Stepan/Pyatt line.

yep, that was a big contributor. They lost a step by the 2nd half of the second period. Rangers were fairly fresh/energetic for most of the game.

I thought Halpern played a good game and showed some bursts of speed. I don't mind keeping him on the third line.

That was a good road win. All it is really for now. Let's see if we can go on a little streak here. Meaningless if we can't turn one into two.

Of course though, always great to get the W. Let's get some consistency now.

Hey Bolts fans, why is this year's team so much better than last year's?

Yea, this is a pretty easy one.

Nash had a great goal sure, but he also gave TB one.

Absolute gift of a game from the refs. Many non-calls (on both sides), but not seeing TB's PP was a godsend

yep, that was the best line in the game. They were able to sustain a forecheck and create space for scoring chances. Pretty much the only line that was consistently effective.

Yep, Boyle got away with a pretty blatant trip imo.

All I said is they need to find a way to beat a team that doesn't suck (TML,PHI) and who are rested (like tampa wasn't).

He had his moments. He certainly played better than Bickel ever did at any time playing defense.

I really feel that Eminger/Gilroy should fill in that spot.

Send Bickel packing.

1)Biron: Far and away the first star tonight. Simply brilliant against a high-powered team.

2)Hagelin: He was back to being Carl Hagelin from last year. That's a player we need.

3)Nash: That big 3rd period goal is what we brought him here for. That's what we've been waiting for.

The D is much better, both in our own zone and on the rush. That's pretty much the biggest difference along with better goaltending. The offense is pretty much the same (although obviously hot to start the season).

Rickie keeps staring back to the camera. Nice gesture but slightly weird still.

TB played last night and they looked a little tired the 1st 2 periods but we still a great game. Not putting TOO much stock into tonight because TB was in the 2nd of a back to back and I'm not sure how we fare against them fresh but we certainly looked good.

My friend D. Stepan making me look silly tonight and I love it. Had his best game in a LONG time stretching back to last year. IF and only IF he plays like that consistently will I consider him a legit #2 Center.. at least the one this team needs.

Biron, Stepan, Hagelin, Pyatt, Nash players of the game. Feels good to get some secondary scoring and Nasher with a sweet goal

He might be upset at his teammate but not the Rangers celebrating.

I don't think you'll find many Bolt fans here. But I would say the defense is much improved and Stamkos is a year older
