J. Jokinen to NYR

What would it take? Does Carolina do it for Boyle+ 3rd or something along those lines? I'm salivating at this:

Gaborik-Richards-Nash
Hagelin-Jokinen-Callahan
Kreider-Stepan-Pyatt
Rupp-Boyle-Asham

Makes the Rangers MUCH deeper down the middle especially considering if Richards goes down our C depth is horrid..

I don't think the NYR would give up on Miller unless it was for a better player than Jokinen. Not sure Jokinen fits the culture the NYR are building.

Little chance. NYR could have re-signed him for very little a few years ago when they had him. They chose not to.

Wrong Jokinen.

Carolina needs a third line center and a defensive defenseman, so one of Stralman or Boyle?

I'm not going to comment about value. However, if we were to trade Jokinen we'd probably need someone who could fill in the 3C position after his departure. Plus for your sake, he's really not meant to be a center anyway so I'm not sure you'd want to trade for him, especially slotting him at 2C.

I'd rather keep JT Miller and his ELC.

Not only that, but Stepan's a 2C. He's not physical or gritty enough to be a 3C.

I wonder what the Caps want for Laich?

I wouldnt really call Stralman a defensive defenseman but either way the Rangers couldnt move him at this point unless a quality defenseman is coming back. Boyle + 3rd? CAR gets their undisputed 3C and a pick, NYR keep Miller and add a top 6 forward that can play center or wing

he's really not though. Dont let one 50 point season riding shotgun with Gaborik fool you. Stepan skates in quicksand and has a putrid shot. Hes defensive minded and is decent on draws.. perfect 3C on a contending team

NYR is NOT trading JT Miller, he's part of the future and is doing well in the AHL this yr..............Jokinen is only a good fit if Carolina takes salary back. He's not playing well right now for the Canes so value is low

I would consider a Jokinen, McBain combo for the right package though

I would try this, but Boyle would be missed on the forecheck. Carolina fans, is JJ a forechecker/backchecker?

I think CAR does Boyle +3rd.. NYR might even get more back like a late pick

JT Miller's potential in NHL 13 is in red stars which means he probably won't reach it
