Lindros To LA?

Thats what i am thinking is going to happean by the end of tommorow.

Lindros will sign a 2 year 2 .2 million dollar deal.

He would then Battle Conroy for the opening day 1st line center job.

O sullivan will challenge him as the season goes on!

On an incentive laden deal, you really can't go wrong. But I question whether he'll leave Toronto.

Give me a break. The guy has no character issues. Sure, his dad may be a dick but the meddling father has long since fallen by the wayside. And the whole saga in Philly is as much about Clarke as anything. Lindros is a quality person and there would be no issues with him in the lockerroom. This idea of him being a cancer is completely misguided.

Signing Lindros would be an essentially no-risk move that could reap significant reward.

I'd say no.

I don't think he's what this team needs...he may not have character issues, but he doesn't strike me as an ideal character vet.

respectfully disagree. O'Sullivan did the right thing and got his Dad out of his life with a restraining order. That takes guts. Lindros looks like he is still letting his Mom and Dad make life decisions for him. That is not healthy.

I think EL was more of a Taylor kind of a guy than a Lombardi guy.

There's actually a rumour saying he has been offered a contract by the Montreal. As a Hab fan do me a favor and sign him first.

Ohhh i truly hope not. I'd rather spend the money on Jarkko Ruutu. Can you imagine a line of Avery-Thornton-Ruutu? I'd hate to play against them, and they all have decent skill.

O'Sullivan moved to wing in the AHL and it has seemed to work. I don't think the Kings will want to move him back to center.

I wouldn't be too sure.

O'Sullivan had a good year as a LW in the AHL, but considering the Kings woes down the middle (McCauley as the full time 2nd line center?), and the very iffy nature of Kopitar making the squad out of camp, O'Sullivan may just make a case for himself as the 2nd line pivot.

Ruutu would be an excellent pickup. Check out his highlights.....

Ruutu would definitely bring some much needed toughness to to this team. But I am not going to sugar-coat this.....he is a pretty dirty player.....alot of those hits had some elbows leading them.

I cant stand people calling Lindros names and crap and saying he would be horrible in the lockerroom. He is one of the classiest players in the league and a leader in the lockeroom. Who the hell cares what his dad did when he 18 years old and still a a kid with so much pressure on him. Hes a grown man now and would be a plus to any team. I'd love him to join the Rangers again but that will never happen.

Lindros was actually considered to be one of the better Leafs players when he was playing. But that is the problem... WHEN he was playing. Even during a concussion free season, he missed a large chunk of the season with another season ending injury.

I wouldn't mind adding a player of his talent and abilities, but it is a HUGE risk with the potential of a big reward if all goes well. I think Lindros will be stuck receiving incentive laden contracts for the rest of his career.

I miss watching the dominant Lindros of the mid-late 90's. He could pass, shoot, fight, check, win draws, etc. Lindros was one of the most feared players back then and he was the total package. But we have to come to the realization that he isn't that player anymore, just like how JR is no longer the player he once was.

Eric "China Doll" Lindros? Hell no.

As far as him in the room, ask Brind'Amor what he thinks.
