For DROY, Bobby Wagner's definitely in the mix. Lavonte David should get some consideration as well. Real strong crop of rookie linebackers this year with Kuechly, Wagner, David, Mercilus, Hightower, Upshaw and Brown.

Luck wins it. Whether or not he deserves to is a different question.

Luck shouldn't even be in the discussion.

I was shocked that the Colts went 11-5 with the turnover machine at QB, but then I ran across their strength of schedule.

I went with RGIII. Unlike a lot of people, I knew Russell was going to be good and was absolutely shocked he went in the third round. So I didn't have the, "Oh, he's good. Where did he come from?" factor that a lot of people had.

Just because you knew Russell was going to be good doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a strong consideration. I didn't think he was going to be that good having watched him at NC State and been aware of his size. But it's still a tough call between the two.

It should go to Russell Wilson.

Probably the most deserving, tho I'm partial to Wilson, but TBH I thought Luck would take it.

They went with the flashiest player but it should have been Luck. Luck attempted 600+ passes and RGIII attempted less than than 400. Even Christian Ponder attempted nearly 500 passes. Washington played an easier schedule this year as well.

This is the 'most offensive post' in this thread. Terrible reasoning.

Kirk Cousins put up nearly the same QB rating as RGIII and got the Redskins 2 wins.

Luck was asked to do the most and did more than any other rookie. He should have been offensive ROY.

Most other years RGIII would have deserved it but not this one.

Luck completed 55% of his passes and threw a ton of INT's. No, he did not deserve it. And if you want to talk about easy schedules the Colts had two against the Jaguars, two against the Titans, Dolphins, Browns, Jets, Bills, Lions and Chiefs.

I would say Washington had a far tougher schedule. The only under .500 teams they played were the Rams, Saints, Bucs, Panthers, Eagles and Browns and every team except the Eagles and Browns won at least 7 games.

Just looked it up actually.

Washington SOS - .494
Indianapolis SOS - .441

Washington SOV - .450
Indianapolis SOV - .403

Your line of reasoning says Romo is better than Rodgers. Ergo you are wrong.

Yeah I looked at the wrong schedule.

Luck was 4th in the NFL in WPA, behind Rodgers, Ryan, and Brady. RGIII and Wilson were 10th and 11th. I trust that stat a lot more than stats that say Alex Smith is a better QB than Colin Kaepernick this season.

Big difference with Romo vs Rodgers is that Rodgers had 41 TDs vs 29 for Romo. Even so Romo had a good season.

Manning won MVPs in 08 and 09 when Rivers and Brees had better stats in those seasons.
