It was a lucky play. Gally doesn't lose the handle on those kinds of plays. If you look closely, Leopold gets a little piece of that puck. Whether he saw Eller, I'm not sure. I wonder what play he was going to make had Leopold not got his stick on that puck.

gally was feared to be rusty upon his return. he used calcium lime and rust to disolve the rust away. but he cleared out their stocks and left none for cole; who is rustier than a mazda. and that's hard to do.

Uh.....no.

I'm an older guy and go back to Yvan Cournoyer's rookie year as a regular watcher of the Habs. I have not been this excited about a **rookie** forward prospect since 1971. Not saying he will be as good as THAT rookie turned out to be, but I am saying that no one SINCE that Guy has generated quite the same excitement in me.

There have been some promising players of course. Mats Naslund was 24 when he hit North America and 26 when he first started to rack up pooints, Stephane Richer was a sniper who broke out in his third year, but not a guy who controlled the play and set up multiple chances per game for other players from the day he first put on the uniform, plus you could see he would never be good in his own zone. Max Pacioretty impressed me very much in the first exhibition game I saw him play and I gushingly compared him to Frank Mahovlich, but he did not maintain that level of play game after game like this 18 year old kid. And as for Koivu, I liked him in his first year, but he only broke out at age 22, in the fall of the 96-97 campaign when he was first getting a point per game.

Most skilled Habs forward prospect since ever in my case (about 1980 Habs edition).

Just can't believe how lucky we are I wanted us to draft him months before it happened ,moment of truth comes up June 22 comes up, we actually DO draft him, but still all the while hoping it pans out for us A LITTLE , starts tearing up the ohl, like we all wanted, ...then the nhl resolves the cba , most is us HOPE he gets a 5 game try out, and some how the show stealer from LAST year's training camp Gallagher actually GETS on his line to play together AND they're actually doing WELL at 18 and 20 years old. ...

Where am I? ?

I still cant believe that we had gem like Galchenyuk in roster. So many years i envied those other teams with high level prospects. And finally its our turn. Me likes.

I found the real reason why Gally is wearing #27!
http://www.lapresse.ca/debats/chroni...2_accueil_POS1

Quote:
It means : Every penny is spent with care. The GM of the foundation was glad when Gally decided to wear #27 instead of #94 that he wanted since they still have Kovalev's tuque/wool hat. Gally gives those a new life and they bring joy to new owner and let the foundation get more $$.

Gally has such a big heart

Has anyone had a chance to watch closely Tavares, Stamkos, Seguin in their first season ? How our Galchenyuk is compared to them ?

I don't put Crosby, Malkin or Ovechkin because they were pretty good in their first season.

When Columbus picked Murray, I lost it. I was so pumped.

The kid's looking better and better every game. Against Ottawa he got two of his best chances to score that I've seen (besides the breakaway). The fact that we have an 18 year old putting up PPG numbers right now is amazing.

That and he shares my birthday too. Feb 12, represent!

First season
Toews: 64 - 24 - 30 - 55
Kane: 82 - 21 - 51 - 72
Stamkos: 79 - 23 - 23 - 46
Tavares: 82 - 24 - 30 - 54
Hall: 65 - 22 - 20 - 44
Seguin: 74 - 11 - 11 -22

I think Galchenyuk may end up with better stats than Seguin and Stamkos. But I don't think that Galchenyuk will score as much as them.
