I'm a firm believer that if the Ducks don't re-sign Perry, He's coming East.

I think he's talking to Pittsburg and Tampa Bay, to swing for all of Crosby/Malkin/Stamkos.

What would Perry cost? That's a lot of future right there.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be worth it, but the price tag would probably start with zibby and a first. Costly

Cogliano has 4 assists in 7 games while playing 14 minutes a night, guess he could replace Regin?

Since when did Colorado become our rival? Lol.

Also, Perry would be magnificent. I wouldn't deal for him unless he is signed though. Perry will be the coveted first line winger we've been looking for since Heatley left.

Spezza-Perry would be a masterpiece.

If Perry becomes a UFA do you think the fact BM tried to trade him for Mike Comrie when he was in Anahiem would play a part in his decision not to sign here if the Sens pursued him?

If we do end up making a trade with Anaheim, it won't be Perry coming back. He would cost a lot, prospects\draft picks wise and will also be expensive financially and I don't think Melnyk is okay with spending big bucks. Not to mention Perry is not signed.

I am sick of hearing Melnyk won't spend. First of all, we are rebuilding. It doesn't make sense to be a cap team just yet. Secondly, if Nash wanted to play in Ottawa, he would have been a Senator. So obviously, Eugene was okay with adding a big ticket player.

What about Saku Koivu?

He's a UFA this summer and would be a good stop gap piece. I'm just worried about their asking price as he's playing better than usual lately.

Wait why is Perry agreeing to a contract now when he probably wants to test the open market?

we don't need to trade for anyone. especially not a stopgap like Weiss. we can create offence. i certainly don't want to trade Weirdcock or Zibby after their short stints.

LOL .... no. i doubt Murray tries to make a trade for Perry, Getzlaff or Ryan, the cost would be too great. I would rather wait to see if they become free agents July 1 & make a pitch then or after the draft to get signing rights when it's cheaper.

He did try to get Nash so I dont see no reason to not go after one of Ryan/Perry.

Would love to get Perry here on the team. That said he'd have to come here as a signed player to us as the cost to get him would be a lot (More than likely a 2013 1st, Zibanejad and Cowen)

A signed Perry is worth more than that.
