Well, that and they were all naked. The higher-ups at Animal Planet will clearly be hearing from the FCC.

two times i've suffered clinical depression; wouldn't you know it, both of those times coincided with reasonably bad concussions from hockey

i'm not suggesting sport be banned; i'm just sharing how uncomfortable the realization that the sports i like have real and significant long-term consequences to the athletes i grew up idolizing, to those that played and still play, to myself

As a Viking fan, Super Bowls are just cruel. As a Massachusetts resident, I'm just bitter and jealous.

I suppose if I had to choose, I'd say SF because I'd like to see Moss get a ring, and I detest all things Ray Lewis. But I gotta say, I haven't been less excited about a Super Bowl in a long time.

Plus I'm sick, so I can't even enjoy SB snacks.

There's always Puppy Bowl.

This. I can honestly say I haven't watched a single second of the two weeks of runup, and have yet to watch anything SB-related, including the Puppy Bowl. I currently have the Phoenix Open on. I LOVE the 16th hole there, with the Bleacher Bums.

I watched some of the Puppy Bowl, now I'm watching Florida/Buffalo.

I think my favorite part of gamecenter so far is the out of market commercials.

Been doing the same since the Caps game. Been a Gamecenter customer for a couple years now. I love it.

I will check out the BU article. But are you saying that the majority of ex NFL/NHL players are battling CTE to the point of it having a major effect on their lives?

Ditto. Just now I turned on CBS, first time since the AFCCG ended I've watched anything resembling football. I love the sport and have always watched regardless of matchup, but this one this year just isn't hyping me up. I'm sure some of it's sour grapes, but I think the biggest part of it is that I've totally thrown myself into the NHL season.

Golf's weird for me. I love to golf, have played for ages, but outside of the most recent Ryder Cup collapse, I cant watch it on TV.

Eh, game's not what it used to be anyway. All about product placement now, and all the new rules are way too protective of the Schnauzers.

Sounds nice. I'm at work and I brought mac and cheese with broccoli and ham.

I read recently that besides chicken soup, food that is good for colds incluce yogurt, which is high in zinc; citrus and berries for Vitamin C and a slight antihistaminic effect; spices like garlic, turmeric and hot peppers, which break up congestion; and red meat and oysters, which also have zinc. Drink lots of fluids but not alcohol, which dialates small blood vessels and makes you feel more stuffed up.

And those are the health tips for today.

Already looking forward to next year - the 10th year. Hopefully they will do a where are they now.

All except four of all the puppies and kittens from this year have been adopted - last I heard.
