I've seen some bad calls this season but that takes the cake. That was not even close. Horrible call!

That makes no sense. This was an outrageous call and there is no excusing it.

That's not what I am saying, yes I agree the call is wrong, but if they get it wrong every time, it is consistent. I think it seems that they have been instructed to be very strict with goalie interference this year, as long as they are consistent, I don't care.

If my Rangers get a goal waved off because of it, but every other team also has their goals waved off for it, I'm not going to care. I would rather them get it wrong every time than get it wrong half of the time, that way everyone gets screwed not just a few teams.

This is just what happens what you are officiated by terrible refs. They make 1 mistake...they then want to correct it as soon as possible by calling whatever...which happens to be a worst mistake....so then they want to correct it the sooner the better with something else that happens to be more awful.....and then....you get the idea.

Think of it this way, if your team gets screwed by this call and has a goal waved off, then the exact thing happens with another team but their goal is allowed, you're not going to be happy are you?
So no one should ever screen the goalie or go anywhere near the net just in case the goalie might skate out and bump into them.

Price was clearly farted on which caused him to lose focus and let that goal in. Definitely interference!

Terrible call, from a Habs fan.

And a penalty on top of that?

Karma owes the Sens two positives.

Pretty well. Because that is what happened-the goalie skated out and ran into the player-and you seem to think that is okay as long as every team gets hit with similar bad calls.

Its confusing for the players, Murray Wilson said the players on both benches were looking at each other in confusion at a lot of the calls during this game, they didn't know what was allowed and what wasn't. Whether fans can live with this is one thing, but the game has to be called in a way that makes sense to the players.

What terrible logic. How about they work toward figuring out why the incorrect calls are being made and what needs to be done to make sure they don't continue.

Why it take so long for Bob Cole to realize the refs waived it off? Just retire, have some dignity.

Buffalo expect a terrible no call against you at some point this week. The refs are after the north east division. I hope the Habs no goal comes in our game Wednesday night.

So the Backlund goal against Edmonton when he was on top of Dubnyk...allowed

But this was disallowed??

Where the heck is the consistency?

Yeah. They've already screwed Toronto and Boston in the same game and now Ottawa.

Elimination game between Buffalo and Montreal.

Montreal already got a goal call back due to goalie interference when they played against Toronto in the 1st game of the season.

Easier on everybody if you add a few feet to the crease and just say any contact of any kind inside that enlarged crease is automatically a penalty, no matter what. Seems excessive to me, but I'd rather have that than unpredictability.
A couple of years ago the interference on goalies was better handled by the refs, it seemed. Now they have no idea what to call and what not to call.

I say get rid of the crease. No interference ever should be called when the guy is standing in front of the goalie. We want more goals, right? Of course if the guy is pushing the goalie or trying to prevent him from doing his job with his stick, it should be disallowed.

As a habs bro I will admit that was ****ed up and should have been a goal. However, your only goal was the result of another ****** call (video anyone?).

At the end of the day, it would have been 2-1 or 1-0 regardless regardless

That was well deserved. Scrivens in the blue paint, White all over him there.

If you want to play that game, then the Habs' second goal never happens because the penalty on Alfie was BS and was only called because of the fans' reaction.

So don't play that game. It's ridiculous. Penalties are just penalties, teams still have to use their power play to score. Disallowed goals are a whole other matter entirely, you can't come close to equating the two.

Simple solution: Give each team a challenge flag. If the team challenges and wins, they get to keep the flag. If not, they lose it.
