Another caller heard from a good source.... that Buff tripped in the buffet line.

I'm concerned. It seems to me that the only reason they wouldn't just come right out and say "Buff pulled a muscle in his leg while stretching for the morning skate. He'll be back in action in no time" or some such is if theres something more serious going on...

I'm not into conspiracy theories, but the organization is being awfully mysterious about the whole thing.

We sure miss the big fella. We could really use Kulda or Oduya right about now. Hope he's back on Tuesday.

The Jets are a fairly predictable team without Buff. As much as he may give the Jets coaching staff nightmares, its doubly true for opposing coaches, IMHO. Hope he returns soon.

Maybe he visited one of our stripclubs here in Montreal and caught something?

Why is it strange? It's not like the Jets talked much about injuries last season. I recall players being listed "day-to-day" for like 3-4 weeks without any injury updates

Make what you want about it, but very mysterious situation indeed.
Folks I can't say who I am but I'm not far removed from thejaf. I'm telling you there is something up with that guy, I have it on good authority that guy hangs out way too much in his car around local middle schools....

Ofcourse what I said above is a load of crap but it means as much as some random dude starting rumors on 1290

Not everything on 1290 is accurate, but we all know what we read on the internet is 100% true all of the time.

Value is fair. Weight is about the same.

Please come back soon, Buff. This team misses you.

Maybe he will be ice fishing on Tueday instead of playing.

Don't need a boat for that.

The organization uses the same philosophy regarding injuries with all of their players. We're still unsure what exactly it is that is keeping Miettinen out of the line up.

I have been concerned about Buff's overall longevity, but especially about his knees, since last season. It's just hard to be his size and not have the quick turns take a toll. When I saw him arrive last month looking fit and trim, I breathed a huge sigh of relief, but now I am again concerned.
His knee injury last year around Xmas marked the end of a nice run for the team, from which neither he nor we completely recovered.
Qualifier: this all speculation on my part, as, unlike some of the posters here, I have no reliable insider info.

How about just telling us what's happening with Buff, TNSE? That would put a very quick end to all these so called conspiracy theories...

Not that I can blame anyome for the speculation... I mean how do you aggravate something after a game and before practice . No wonder fans are wondering what's going on.

if you listen to Noels presser today, he pretty much confirms it was something related to game prep and that they were all there when it happened.....i assume he tweaked something while stretching or something to that effect.

I said it before and I'll say it again. We should have signed Kulda. Big, heavy, with a bit of an edge and a good defensive d-man. Exactly what the Jets need. Would be way better than Clitsome or Redmond.

Didn't hear the presser. Can anyone with more than one post on these boards confirm that?
