Leetch

Don't get the wrong idea, he's not our newest blueliner, but follow me on this; his career is almost over, would anyone be surprised if he said he wanted to spend his last season in his home state?

It's a longshot, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

He might but with all the d-men we have now, that wouldn't make any sense to acquire him if you ask me.

Good idea if we had room for him though. And he may be receptive to playing here if there was a place for him.

What?

Leetch for Niinimaa?

Heh, funny stuff. Cause he didn't have such a good season, though he was injured last year.

Texas isn't Brian Leetch's home state. He was born into a military family that was posted in Corpus Christi when he was born. They moved to Connecticut while he was still an infant. He really has no ties to the area whatsoever.

I thought he might make sense before the Sydor trade, particularly since the Stars twice tried to trade for him. Now though, I really doubt it happens.
