Gomez is fine. Relying on Handzus, Galiardi, Desjardins and Sheppard to produce isn't.

I'd love to see Seto back here. Perfect 3rd line winger who can snipe.

I agree. I think it depends on who Gomez plays with better players hes fine, he won't make lesser players produce..

Wonder who else needs D right now...

They don't need another winger. They need to use what they have better. One of Galiardi or Sheppard can play along Couture and Clowe while Handzus and Havlat can go with Gomez and make things happen. They just need time to gel. It doesn't happen overnight.

They need Handzus to disappear. He is not a top-9 forward. I'm fine with Sheppard in the top-9, not Handzus.

We'll see, we have little to no scoring from a 3rd line at this time, gonna need something from them to win a cup. To many players here would have to have seasons they have never had or have had and won't have again to make this happen.
I'm referring to Galiardi, Sheppard, Gomez, Handzus, and Desi for the most part. What are the chances that one of them puts up 45 points, i'd say none! I'd want *2* from that last that will in a reliable manor - or new players that can.

They can still do Sheppard-Couture-Clowe and Galiardi-Gomez-Havlat and still do fine but they have to pick a setup and go with it. You can shake up the top two lines and be alright but with all the change in the bottom six, fluctuating it consistently as has been done is counterproductive to finding a match.

We fall behind and the mixing of lines is bound to happen. Thats how TMac rolls.

I'm dead serious too. I assume if CGY trades Iginla, it would at least be to a team that had a chance to get him a ring.

I honestly don't hate those lines. I'd love to upgrade on Galiardi, but I'm higher on him than others around here.

I wouldn't. Sooner or later we're going to need the next Couture, and Hertl has as good a chance to be that as anyone we've had in our system since, well, Couture.

I agree. I'm not giving up Hertl for two months worth of Iginla, who hasn't played well this year.

I remember a while back when Seto got traded, some guy here posted a conspiracy thread about Seto leaving only to come back later

I would welcome him back though to play with Gomez.

This.

Plus at this time, we will get more in return for Clowe or Murray.

Problem is with this, we don't have much to give. Minimal prospects, we have Clowe + Murray give or take Handzus, Burish, Maybe Havlat?

I would like to have MacArthur on our team, I like the way he plays. I wonder if something like this would be fair and don't take my head off for this but I'm really not sure, just kinda throwing it out there:

To Maple Leafs:
Douglas Murray
Michal Handzus

To Sharks:
Clarke MacArthur
2013 3rd round pick

You guys think that's fair? I think it might be because I think the majority of us wanna get rid of Douglas Murray and Handzus but Handzus hasn't looked that bad so far and these two HAVE been getting it done on the PK so if we do trade for a winger, are either of these two the guys we wanna trade for one? How much would losing them hurt our PK?

Why would Handzus ever waive his NMC, especially to go to the Leafs?

Havlat, along with the Big-4, are untouchable in my mind.

I don't see the point. Scratch Murray, stop giving Handzus so much 5 on 5 ice time, give Gomez a competent winger and let him play. It's insane that the bottom 6 take the vast majority of the o-zone faceoffs and get outshot the way they do against weak competition. Not to mention it's extremely frustrating to see Gomez randomly skate a shift with the 2nd line, create a bunch of chances and/or make a play that leads to a goal only to come out the next shift with some combination of Handzus/Burish/Desi. I'd like to see:

12-19-8
15-39-9
29-23-whoever isn't being bad

7-22
44-52
61-5

I'd like D'Agostini from the Blues. Hes fast and can snipe.

Marleau-Thornton-Pavelski
Clowe-Couture-Havlat
Galiardi-Gomez-D'Agostini
Desjardins-Handzus-Wingels
