Not sure if EDM would ever consider something like that, but I think Wayne Simmonds fits to the T the type of player you're looking for and it would definitely take a lot to get him out of Philly.
Oh ok! What a steal!

We get Mr. 49 points max for one of our superstars. Let's write up the trade now bro give me your fax number.

No seriously. Whats your "+".

Sure your not thinking of Schultz? Petry's good but he's definitely not equal value to Landeskog.

Petry is probably Edmonton's best defenseman right now, he's not the best defensively or offensively, but as a whole he's probably the best we got. Edmonton is in no position to be trading a defenseman from the top end of our defense, but I couldn't say no to this. Landeskog was very impressive in what he did as a rookie against some tough match-ups that most rookies would be sheltered from.

I'm very sick of Edmonton making present for future trades, but Landeskog carries quite a bit more trade value than Petry and in the long run after we fill the hole that Petry left we would be much better off, from having made this trade our top 6 would have other teams quaking in their boots in a few years.

How do people still make offers to Edmonton lol. Their fans want a top 6 power forward but not at the expense of one of the big 4

Your scraps are worthless compared to a top 6 power forward

Klefbom is supposed to be the next great swedish D man. and is projected by most scouting guys to be a 1-2 dman that will be playing 20min+ shortly.

At face value now, Canadians fans would turn down the deal, but in about 5 years time it would be considered lopsided. I have seen Klefbom play and if the oilers manage him correctly a Schultz-Klefbom pairing in a few years could be one of the best in the nhl

From watching Edmonton play a couple times this year, I think that they need a 2nd line centreman more than anything.

Stephen Weiss might be a good fit on the 2nd line there.

There is not a doubt in my mind most fans would turn that down in an instant. Pacioretty is still young and only had his first full season last year and he scored 30+ goals. This year he's not scoring goals but they will come, he's still taking part on the scoreboard and racking up assists (4GP: 0G 5A) and he is definitely apart of our future core.

David Booth for Klefbom + Filler LW?

Not sure what Edmonton fans value Klefbom anymore though.

I see many projecting him as a #2 guy, so he's quite valuable to Oiler fans right now

Why the hate on Edmonton to better their top 6 without moving one of the big 5. You don't see people mad at Pittsburgh for not wanting to trade Crosby, Malkin or Neal while trying to improve. We aren't look for a world beater, just a coke machine that can skate.

So everyone other than a first overall pick that has developed well is a scrap? The big four have more trade value than any player in the Montreal organization.

The Oilers aren't trying to acquire elite power forwards like Backes/Perry/Lucic. Ryane Clowe types would be just fine and it certainly wouldn't require Ryan Nugent Hopkins to do it.

I know you're being sarcastic and obviously that's a great deal for the Oilers but think of if Oiler fans proposed RNH for Johnson.

Probably sarcasm but Avs fans would think about it because they're so high on Johnson. Probably the same trade value between the two in reality.

I think kulemin would look great on the oilers

Just once i would like to see a trade proposal from an edmonton fan where Montreal gets the best piece in the deal and we return picks, prospects, 3rd liners etc... Oh and leave Hemsky or Gagner out of it to.

Yakupov for Subban is a common one where Montreal gets the best piece (Yakupov).
