So no heavy on the team though. Does this become Bickels role? It is the one thing he does alright. Though he is not all that big. Or does mashinter get called up at some point?

Powe is signed for this year and next. He is a pain in the ass to play against .
Nice. Thanks.

So is this the Brandon Prust replacement we've been looking for?

So if I am getting this right, the Rangers get both Palmieri who would be a solid depth NHLer right now and Powe for Rupp?

GOOD MOVE, CLEARS OVER 400.000 IN SPACE FOR NEXT YEAR.
Pesty forechecker almost 10 years younger
Mashinter gets the callup now
Plus we should now try to get one of either Sarich or Murray
And Palmieri too?
Wow - good for CT
Good job Glenn

Powe is clearly the better player
I didn't think they'd move him, at least not till the offseason. Good call.

If Darroll Powe is the third healthy scratch as it appears, it'll be his first time with #mnwild. He played all 82 last year

Hm. Well, its hard not to like this deal. We got a little bit faster, and added an okay bottom 6 prospect with size.

Rangers get Nick Palimieri and Darrell Powe from Minny for Mike Rupp. Rangers will send Palimieri to AHL.

Really? Guess Rupp was a good signing after all. Just like the Gomez signing.

I wanted Powe when he was on the Flyers. Just an in-your-face, no nonsense, pain in the ass. He is Callahan minus the offensive production.

Solid skill set but his Laziness grew old pretty quickly on Lou and Pete.
If Torts can motivate him it can be a big pay off for you guys but if he continues with his bad habits / work ethic, John might throw him off the GWB.

Nice call.
See ya Rupper, Paging Mr. Mash !
I watched Powe play at Princeton for 4 years, always one of my fave Tigers, was always pissed that Rangers never drafted any Princeton players. Halpern was a good one, we are getting him way too late of course.
Trying to replace Prust - check
Bring in younger tough guys over Rupp - Check
Cheap moves, lets see how that worksout.
