Yeah. Some brutal officiating against B's, but they still win impressively. I wish we had half of the grit the Bruins have.

i don't think people care about rask that much...it's the kessel trade people are bitter about.

They probably should care considering the goaltending issues they've had.

Rask trade is viewed just as much a failure as Kessel

Everytime the Leaf goalies struggle there fans bring up Rask trade

Havlat celebrating instead of scoring the tap in goal was great. Really funny to watch

Apparently Halak has a groin issue, and was placed on the IR... didn't see it mentioned around here, but it's expected he will be out until the weekend at the least.

Tampa is averaging 5 goals per game...now thats what I want to see more of baby!!

Pretty crazy that half the league is barely averaging 2 goals per game so far. you would think defense and goalies would be a bit behind in the early going, but it seems that offense is going to be hard to come by again..unless your Tampa ofcourse!

That's the way they should've been last year. A team with Stamkos, St. Louis, and Lecavalier should have no shortage of goals.

But I'm certainly not going to complain about the turn towards fewer goals per game, because we're benefitting from it a lot. Crawford has yet to allow more than two goals in a game, and of course Emery's heroics the other night also only put him down two goals.

Hawks have Kane, Toews, Hossa, and Sharp...I think we should be right with them scoring wise, but that hasnt happened the past 3-4 games.

I agree about luckily playing in low scoring games, but I do want to see at least 3 goals a game by most teams...2-1 or 1-0 games played between Columbus and the Panthers isnt going to cut it...I dont care what anyone says (goals automatically wont make the game more exciting), but goals are exciting and want more of them!

come playoff time those 2-1 games are epic, regular season on a Wednesday..not so much.

Makes sense, they need to shed cap, this is a small move but it gets the ball rolling. Also, Rupp was a bad fit in NYR altogether. The bad news is we have to play against him now.

Rupp is the type of player we needed...too lazy to look up his cap hit but Minny just got a bit tougher to play against as Rupp is a solid team player who does the little things out there...plus chips in with some decent goal numbers every year

1.5M, sucks we didn't try to get him, you're right, he would have been a very nice acquisition for the Hawks.

that cap hit pisses me off even more. Rupp for Powe and Palmieri...gosh we could have done better than that.

come on Bowman we need some damn toughness and size.

If you bring in Rupp, that means goodbye Bollig, which I have a tough time seeing as you really wouldn't have an enforcer anymore when Carcillo is out of the lineup. That's not to say I'm a fan of having an enforcer, but you know someone is going to be suited up in that role, regardless of skill.

An upshot of the Rupp deal is the possibility of trading for Konopka. I don't think they would make him available but you never know. It would help us out on faceoffs too.

Minnesota acquired Rupp to get more fiesty. Losing Konopka would put them back at square one.
