We're the team that puts the nail in the Luongo-Vancouver love fest.

Luongo shipped on Friday.

Oilers Win 6-1.

Vancouver would be stupid to trade Luongo now.

Nordic Line!!!!! Very glad to see those three reunited. It seems that they might very well get at least a few games together with Belanger out for a while and no timetable for Jones and Eager.
Very interesting about Whitney being scratched, it takes some cojones for Kruegs to bench an established vet like Whitney. As bad as Potter has been, Whitney has been worse so i'm interested to see the Fistric-Potter pairing.
HFOil would go in ape **** mode if the Whitney-Peckham pairing draws in so for that reason alone, i kind of want that to be the case.

Krueger has shown me a lot by going against the grain (RNH in d-zone faceoffs, RNH PKing, Yakupov in final mins of game, benching Whitney)

THIS GUY BELIEVES IN YOUTH

Like like stupid Renney... DOWN BY A GOAL... PUT IN BELANGER!!

Well to be honest, Krueger threw in Belanger when we were down by a goal against LA

With many many OT/SO games the West is getting into this year (which is to say far more than the East) any and all points are crucial.

As much as I hope the Oilers win in regulation, I'd be satisfied with an OT/SO loss as well.

Shutdown the Sedin line and we'll win this game. That bottom 6 is sooo weak.

Good job Krueger for sitting Whitney.

Makes every player accountable.

Agreed. I'm not sure Potter's a better choice but it's important to send a message to the veterans that lackluster play won't be tolerated.

Would you guys consider switching Gagner and RNH in effort to mix things up? Ryan hasn't been playing up to his potential, perhaps a stint on the second line would be good for him. Gagner is hot right now and has played between Hall and Eberle before.

All I want to see is fewer penalties and more 5 on 5 goals. Our bad penalties and lack of quality 5 on 5 play is starting to become an alarming trend. I think our young guys are going to be pretty fired up for this game though, should be exciting.

Better than ours.

Their 3rd line is fast. Hansen is very under-rated.

I still think that the "top" line should be broken up but despite the injuries those lines don't look half bad.

I think eventually, but I really favor a coaching style that sticks things through and really gives guys a chance to get used to each other. It's something to think about, but I like that Kruger isn't making any panic moves.

Nice praise for Krueger sitting Whitney, but honestly that's what should be done. Players should be held accountable no matter who they are. That wasn't done enough last year.
