Interesting thought...

If Erat had played Saturday, he likely would have been the second SO shooter, and Smith wouldn't have gotten a chance.

I have been wondering the same thing. Other teams that are dealing with injuries have been making call ups.

AH HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! @SlavaMalamud: Alex Radulov Scandal No. 173. Tensions in national team's camp, Radu's agent cries foul to media, says "he is being pushed back to NHL"

I guess Poile was pretty saavy in in extending a QO to Radulov!! What can we get for him other than a bag of used pucks if he comes back?

I doubt it'll be this year if he does come back. Hold onto him for now, then near the draft, use him to trade up.

Id gladly take Rads back right now. We all know what he brings to the table playing wise. Id say its worth the risk. Maybe after we let him play a little bit here trade him to get some younger offensive player or like Top six said, move up in the draft .

Radulov will never don a preds uni again, and good damn riddance to him.

He went from being a goal scorer to a set up man and we already have several guys who can score but would rather pass who are not primma donna pains in the ass.

I think if he will agree to return to the NHL and stay we could get a decent return for his rights.

I'd take Rads too. He's talented, interesting, exciting, and unpredictable. A Top 6 forward right away. All the same reasons we wanted him back last year. I'd rather see it happen earlier so he has 20 or so games in.

I would be shocked if he ever played for Nashville again. And by shocked, I mean, the entire front office and coaching staff walk out the back door when he walked in kinda shocked.

I know we've got some Russian speakers in here, can someone translate this for us (Google translate does a terrible job)?

http://www.sports.ru/hockey/146576322.html

I don't really want him either...but on the other hand, we are pretty desperate for offense. If it ever did come to a point where he wanted to come back (I doubt it even happens), I'd trust DP and Trotz's judgement on the matter. They know best if he'll destroy team chemistry or not. If he will, trade him. If not, it might be best to let him play for us for awhile, even if it's just to increase his trade value.

FWIW, I believe this season's motto of "Committed" is directly related to those no longer in the room and their effect on the room while they were there.

If Radulov wants to come back, he will be traded to the Eastern Conference unless a Western Conference foe wants to overpay. He is not welcome back to the Predators organization and that is his own doing...

Fun Stat of the Day:

Colin Wilson has the worst +/- on the team, but the best Corsi (not counting Blum and McG due to small sample size). Corsi isn't close. Wilson is the ONLY positive player at +11.90. Josi is next at -1.66. Clune and Yip bring up the rear for our Corsi ratings (Clune is a -30).

Suter is a -16.5. Poor guy.

I don't know but the Google Translate version of the story is actually quite entertaining!

Quote:
Agent Radulov: "deliberate persecution began Alexandra"
Tags CSKA Russian team CHL Yuri Nikolaev Alexander Radulov

Agent forward CSKA and Russian Alexander Radulov Yuri Nikolayev comment on the reports that his client had boycotted a theoretical exercise of the national team.

"I can not understand what is happening. One gets the impression that began almost the deliberate persecution of Alexander - a sad memory of the motto "Kill her!". Was sucked from the finger story about his failure to appear at a theoretical exercise. Runs a cheap detective.

A talented hockey player decided to stay in the CHL, is the face CSKA Moscow and all of our league, but sometimes it seems that it is just being pushed in the NHL. And as soon as he would go there, then the whole camp of our "patriots" immediately change its attitude.

But I hope that our hockey there are healthy forces that will stop this orgy "- quoted Nikolayev" Sport-Express ".

That's almost poetic, in a Donald Rumsfeld kind of way.

I hope trotz keeps rolling 7 dmen... allows us to use Blum and Gill only in situations that are favorable..

His goal tonight notwithstanding, we will not mis Clune if he has to go to the bench when horns finally returns...

Marian Cisar scored the first goal in our history, Brunette scored the first regular season goal. Cisar goal was in a exhibition game.

12 points in 16 games for Colin Wilson? Not bad. How has his overall play been?

He's been playing great. Easily our best and most consistent forward this year. He could have a lot more points than he has if he had a true finisher with him. He knows how to set people up, might be our best playmaker
