George McPhee....The Teflon GM. 15 years of failure and counting....
6 - Number of playoff series the Capitals have won since George McPhee took over as General Manager in 1997 (which makes him the third-longest-tenured GM in the League), three of which came in McPhee's first season on the job.
Yeah, the same Green who has 5 points in 9 games and something like 4 goals scored on while he's been on the ice, as well as being +2 on a team that's bottom 5 in both goals for and goals against. Every time he gets off the ice the rest of the defense eats **** and dies.

LOL. Theres a significant difference between one significant injury, and multiple significant or recurring injuries.
Green has only had 1 season where he played all 82 games, and 2 with more then 70. He's made of glass.
Not a fair comparison considering Johnson has never played 1 full season.
Green has earned his contract this year and has been our best defenseman.
He would be the #1 on the avs.
I really don't see Green's health issues as significant as others do. He only had two seasons where he has missed a significant amount of games due to injury. Those have been the last two seasons and it is no coincidence that the team in general has struggled in those years.
Even in the two seasons before this one, which were his seasons where he was injured, he still played 81 games combined. He says he feels better than he has in a long time and I believe him.
