Avs fans wouldn't like moving radar unless Alzner's coming back and Caps fans won't like moving Alzner for another center. [/thread]

Avs fans want another Forsberg apparently.

Oh and we're adding Mike Green, who has played pretty well the last few games.

Oh boy, where do I sign?

If caps are going for O'Reilly it would be something around Johansson probably. That is way way way too much from the caps

Caps pass. #1 D for a 2nd line C doesn't work.

Green isn't really Green anymore. He's actually been decent this year from what I have seen but it's not what he is paid for and what you would want him to be.

Johansson doesn't really do anything for Avs beyond a general speedy-tweener-winger need.

Any trade for O'Reilly has to beat signing him for $1M more than the FO thinks he is worth at this point. I don't see how this comes close.

Like mentioned, I could see Alzner being a guy Avs would want. A poor mans Suter to play with EJ Johnson.

For O'Reilly apparently being the next Sakic Sherman sure isn't in any hurry to sign him despite Avs forwards dropping like flies.

I'd thought the avs fanbase of all fanbases would have a better handle on Green, given how much crap Johnson gets for having had a serious injury not being offensive enough.

Nope. He's unsigned and somehow gets that return.

The caps are trading for radars rights. You might get mojo, but I doubt that happens either.

The longer ROR goes unsigned the less value he has and I heard today on NHL live that there may be some hostility.

So unsigned player who is holding out and with potential attitude problems

For

A defenseman who would be better than what you currently have aka a number one,AND a second line center/winger.

Not to mention the caps are about to get Laich back. Radars talents won't even be in full use in DC.

LOL. Theres a significant difference between one significant injury, and multiple significant or recurring injuries.

Green has only had 1 season where he played all 82 games, and 2 with more then 70. He's made of glass.

Yet looks to be healthy again and still better than any defender on the avs.

The last time Colorado had a Norris candidate was?

Please keep your player who does not even want to sign with your team when it appears you could use him most.

EJ>Green

Green is basically a Scoring Left Winger.

And we'll gladly keep Oreilly. With the way the Caps are playing none of there players look very good right now.

Yeah, the same Green who has 5 points in 9 games and something like 4 goals scored on while he's been on the ice, as well as being +2 on a team that's bottom 5 in both goals for and goals against. Every time he gets off the ice the rest of the defense eats **** and dies.

so you're the one guy who subscribes to Puckgenius's mailing list

Green is better than EJ defensively, at least at the moment. We don't wanna trade him not because of his numbers but because everyone aside from him and Alzner forgot what defense is.

But yeah, O'Reilly's play this year sure is looking very good right now.

Joke all you want. Number one defender on up until recent struggles a contender. Eats a lot of minutes, puts up offense, made all star teams and twice nominated for the Norris trophy.

Looks like the best caps player other than Ribero this year meaning Green is healthy.

Colorado has no player like him.

Cool. Cause the avs are soooooooo much better.

Where were you boys last spring when Green was playing the best defense of his career? In the playoffs against some very tough competition.

When did EJ score 31 goals? Norris nomination?

You guys need to bring more than a stereotype in here if you expect me to believe EJ is better. I don't trust "your eyes" in judging his defensive game either so don't waste our time.

HAHAHAHA, this is a joke right?

I could understand an argument that Green is better because of the offense he brings, but better then EJ defensively? That's an absolute joke.

Might have been a joke three years ago. When Green was actually poor defensively.

Unless you can provide stats...your looking like the joke to me.

Not a fair comparison considering Johnson has never played 1 full season.

Green has earned his contract this year and has been our best defenseman.

He would be the #1 on the avs.

I really don't see Green's health issues as significant as others do. He only had two seasons where he has missed a significant amount of games due to injury. Those have been the last two seasons and it is no coincidence that the team in general has struggled in those years.

Even in the two seasons before this one, which were his seasons where he was injured, he still played 81 games combined. He says he feels better than he has in a long time and I believe him.
