Mario Lemieux can't even get in/out of his car

According to my radio this morning, the sports guy (Neil MacRae) said that Mario Lemieux can't even get in or out of his car right now.

Doesn't sound too promising.

He's done for the year...

I think we'll see him again next year(if we land Ovechkin), but his injury just isn't getting better at all right now.

Every year we hear about Mario being in the best shape of his career, and once again he goes down with a possible season ending injury.

I think Mario has some injuries he may never be able to rehabilitate from and I somehow doubt he will ever be 100% again.

It is also pointless for him to play for a struggling Penguins team other than to try to sell some tickets, and even then they aren't drawing much of the crowd.

Sad to see that our last sights of Mario was played on the league's worst team (kind of like how he started his career).

I hope his career isn't over but... even when he returns I don't think he'll be able to do much... not with the (lack of) talent surrounding him.

reports out of Pittsburgh are that he has trouble doing every day things. he can get in and out of his car, it just hurts. either way, nothing encouraging

Oh well. He is at the Bure point - no matter how hard you work to rehab your injuries, it's ain't gonna happen.

Is this a back injury or the hip injury that is giving him so much trouble?
