Seeing him at the end of that list, I was meaning to ask those who watch NCAA what they thought of Hudson Fasching. A friend of mine told me he'd be one to watch with one of our later 2nd rounders or early 3rd.
While I doubt it happens, to think you can make the playoffs and still get an Erne-Risto-Gauthier type prospect is great.
It looks like one hell of a year. There's so much talent that the Habs will probably get a great shot at a very good goalie prospect in the 2nd round.
I also have a feeling Josh Morrissey of Prince Albert is a Timmins kind of player. His mobility and smarts are just awesome. A similar skillset to Rielly who I think was rated fairly high by the Habs brass.
Questions around Nichuskins game are overblown? Why is he so high on every list?
I'm not very high on him at all. To me he looks like a bigger but less skilled Paajarvi who relies heavily on picking up speed in the neutral zone. He won't get that kind of time to do so on smaller rinks against better players. I also think his performance at the WJC is a bit overblown, he made two great rushes against the NA teams but he had a lot more failed attempts.

I could see Timmins going for Morrissey. He's a player I enjoy watching and I'd be happy if we picked him but I'd be even happier if we picked Pulock (5 points last night in a 5-2 win).
Could Shinkaruk be a possible target for the Habs ? As of right now I'm not a believer yet for the Habs being a playoff team, but we're certainly not a lottery team anymore. For what it's worth, Button has Shinkaruk at 12... If the Habs pick around that spot, it would be a great pick imo. We'd have 2 potential elite shooters in him and Collberg while having Pacioretty and Bozon. If they all pan out, our top 6 could be deadly.

I think Mackenzie's list is a better indicator of how it'll go than Button's.
Button notably higher on Buchnevich than McKenzie's scouts. Although, I have no idea what's going on with that guy. When's the last time he played a game? Has Button watched him?

You know that all non playoff teams are now lottery teams, right? 14th is around 200/1 but all bottom 8 teams or so have a reasonable chance for first overall.
Question : His Jesse Lees eligible for this draft ? He's born on the 14/09/1995 and the rule on eligible player is : " All players who will be 18 years old before September 14...".
Born on this date means this draft or next draft ?
Should we throw a 7th or something at ettu laurikinen?
I'd get Myles Bell. He was supposed to be a 2nd rounder 2 years ago but he was involved in DUI car crash that left a girl dead. Great hockey player though.

Woah I thought he had gotten drafted already. I remember hearing about that... I think it had some scouts scared to take a flyer on him.

Was wondering where he would go, he's a winger now, and a very productive one at that.
Well, Calgary is last in the league right now. It would be pretty sweet if the second rounder we got for Cammalleri is in the 31-35 range. Almost like a low first rounder.

It would be a good year to pick mid 1st instead of 6-10, since it's such a deep draft...plus we have 3 2nd rounders, in case we have to move up 5-7 spots for a guy we really want, we can use one of those.

If NJ forgoes this year's 1st rounder, it could be 30th overall
Still can't fanthom why NJ didn't forgo last year's pick, when they were picking so low.
I wish they keep this year's pick, and then end up with the 1st overall next year and have to give it up, that would be too funny.
I can 100% guarantee you that NJ will use their 1st round pick this year, and forfeit next year's since the draft this year is in NJ. It would be pretty embarassing if they forfeit their 1st while hosting the draft
