probably can't trade either which is why i'd like a decision on Perry soon, if he's intent on testing the market, trade him now. Getzlaf is going to re-sign

Doesn't sound like Rakell will play tonight. Why not just send him back?

No you're not. He is quality, but our record of signing ufas is pretty dismal. I have no interest in giving up value for him.

s true... If we're putting Ryan at C then there's no room for rakell because it seems like BB only wants him at C
Might as well send him down

Lets have Ryan probe for longer than a few days that's he's an acceptable option at the 2C. Another few days of NHL practice won't kill Rakell. Once he's gone then the options are a lot more limited.

When did we ever trade for a big name ufa and sign him??? How often have we chased any ufas who are anything but marginal role players? (and please don't try to say Winnick was a top ufa signing. He is a role player who has pleasantly surprised.) We have no positive track record in this respect.

So in the end Stoll gets nothing for grabbing Fowler's jersey and using it as leverage to smash his face into the boards, and Fowler will be the one missing games. Good job NHL!! LA is officially the Pittsburgh of the west. What a clown ass league.

Then we literally will have $25 million in cap space.
Then we make trades or go sign someone in ufa.
To me it is worth a 2nd and Holland to get Weiss.

We don't spend to the cap. Your response sounds like we are a big market team with money to burn. That's not how we operate.

While I have no problem with the idea of moving Holland to land a 2C, I do think that player should at least be Bobby's age or younger. We need to get someone in their prime years and relatively close in age to the young core that's being built.

no its not. once rakells gone if we need a C, then we can call up Holland and give him an actual shot for once.

He got an actual shot. I'm sure he'll be back up, probably soon-ish, but you guys are missing the fact that he was being evaluated in practice.

Boudreau said that Holland was sent down because they don't see him in a bottom six role.

So I guess Allen should be included into the Eminger-Sutton-Foster-club.

That's too much. He's been subpar no doubt but that group you mentioned is the god awful group. Allen is also providing some toughness to the lineup, which we need. He just needs some sheltered minutes.

Forgot to mention that i thought Staubitz was much more effective than DSP. Although id like to see Maroon there.

Allen is nowhere near as bad as he's being made out to be on these boards. He just needs to take less penalties and get his defensive partner back.

Yeah, he just needs to be limited till he sharpens up a bit, or Cam comes back. Maybe call someone up to push him in practice, but trade is going overboard.

I don't have a problem with Allen on the 3rd pairing. I have a serious problem with him going against the other teams best forwards

Agreed. He's certainly nowhere near the Sutton/Eminger/Boynton level. He's ideal in a #4-5 role hopefully he can settle into that here.

No, but I think you should add Lilja to that club.

Staubitz played a very effective game tonight on the 4th in the stead of DSP. I would continue playing him there.
