Combination of both stunted development and a massive ego.
MLS was so desperate back in 2004 for headlines, they had no choice but to sign Freddy away from the big time European academies, but in order to do so, they had to pay him like he was at for example, Inter Milan. Did they really not expect a 14 year old kid to become full of himself when he became the highest player in the league? He should have never been playing with professionals, if you notice, Freddy has usually been the U.S.' best player whenever he was in a youth tournament.
But Freddy has to take responsibility also. There's a reason that he's burned bridges at every team he's ever been on. The problem is, we don't know what that reason is. Is he uncoachable? Possibly. Does his attitude suck? Most likely. Was he even that good to begin with? Who knows. My opinion is a combination of the three.
Yep, Dallas has some punch for sure; Blas Perez, David Ferreira, Fabian Castillo, Kenny Cooper and Eric Hassli? Yikes. They also have a strong backline and their new keeper, Peru's #1 Raul Fernandez looks to be a good one. Dallas could be a force this year.
Also, apparently Hassli isn't considered a DP for Dallas because TFC is paying some of the contract.
Montreal got Andrés Fabricio Romero by loan yesterday. A 23 year old striker, ex Argentine U-20 international who had 5 goals in 6 games for Tombense Futebol Club in the Brazil 1st division. Quite the prospect if you ask me. Impact are in solid position for a playoff spot next season. Nesta and Di Vaio are both healthy and here for the full season. Can't wait..

Goes without saying, but with Shalrie Joseph working out with Sounders, Seattle & Chivas USA are, indeed, in trade talks #mls

Shalrie's agent confirms trade talks between Sounders and Chivas USA #mls
Gonna guess Joseph and allocation to Seattle for Ochoa and Carrasco.
That's going to be a steal for Seattle.. Chivas type move.
If it turns out to be Carrasco and Ochoa (if it happens, it's surely going to be at least one of them) for Joseph, that actually wouldn't be a bad move for Chivas, they don't want him and Shalrie doesn't want to be there.
I would like it for Seattle if Chivas agreed to pay some of the contract so he doesn't take up the Sounders' third DP slot. If he's a DP or not, I'd expect to see Seattle in a 4-5-1 if they get him.

Being tortured at Disney World with a family trip and just found out six MLS squads are having a preseason tourney down here starting tomorrow. I know it's preseason and that means I have no guarantee of who is going to be playing in the games but the second game of the afternoon session is SKC vs Montreal which has a lot of potential to be a good game. Going to see if I can sneak away from the fam for a few hours and catch that one.
