Wasn't it Turner Stevenson that had the one leg longer then the other so his one skate had a considerable amount of bulk between the blade and the sole on one skate? Maybe they all wore those ones

That's very interesting trivia, PP. I never knew that!

Barry Melrose just ranked the top 3 rookies so far on NHL Network.
3. Galchenyuk
2. Schultz
1. Conacher

How is he gonna put Gally in over Tarasenko. Tarasenko has been more impressive IMO.

Yeah, I don't know, maybe it's just because Galchenyuk playing as well as he is is more of a surprise than the good play of Tarasenko. I think it was pretty much expected for Tarasenko to tear **** up, but with the other guys nothing was taken for granted.

I think it was him anyway, MSE would probably know better. If I recall correctly they didn't discover it until his time in philly and by then it had already wrecked his hip which eventually led to his retirement. I always wondered though if anybody ever did that just to have some extra height.

I don't recall that specifically but there is a mention of that on a hockeyfights web site.

If this happened in Philly it would be national news. ESPN would even pick it up. The internet articles would be infinite. Infinite I say!!

It's snowballs at Santa all over again!!!!!!!

Yeah, pretty low-class to cheer when a player gets injured. The one thing I don't understand is why Crosby sticks his leg straight up in the air.

if Pittsburgh fans did that to another player it would be very quickly swept under the rug and wouldnt even be brought up by the national media.

Noticed that P.A. Parenteau is one of the goal scoring leaders. Weren't people saying he was not worth signing as a free agent?

.... but... but you need to do a ratio of their salaries to their performance to get the real stats

We have a trade: Devils acquire Andrei Loktionov from the Kings.
Let the trading begin, but most likely not.

He was acquired for a 5th rounder.

Not a bad trade for NJ. Low risk, potential reward is how I see it.

Pretty much. I remember watching him play off and on in LA. IIRC he didn't really battle hard in the corners or anything. He probably won't be over in North America for long if his stint with Jersey falls through.

He has skills, but doesn't want to work for it.

I dont see it that way

The Kings were trying to force him to play Wing and be a winger ,, He struggles on wing

He is a C and that is only position he has ever played and played well

I would say when an organization is holding you back because they want you to play another position it isn't your fault when you struggle

Loktionov to the Devils for a fifth-round 2013 draft pick. That's a steal if any. But I guess the Kings didn't see him in their plans, so why not.

It could be a steal. Loki had chances and hasn't gotten it done in LA. He's going to be 23 at the end of May, there isn't much potential left to be had.
