I absolutely sucked at Guitar Hero at first... until I stopped trying to play it like a guitar. It got a lot easier after that.
Speaking of which... GW, what gear do you have?
Right now, I have a BC Rich, V , one of middle quality ( NOT the 1,000 dollar one but the 600 dollar one), a few 15 W amps and a Marshall half stack that i took with me when i got booted from the band. I got a few footpedals but I detest using them. My small amps are Line 6 Spiders 3 and 4. I use thicker strings than most on my V.
And yeah, I figured I should make sure I'm 100000% sure I know what I'd be doing before I switch em out. I'd be going for a Machine Head sort of style once they're in.
Look into EMG 81 pickups. I believe that's what Flynn uses. If you wanna mix it up a little bit and get something a little smoother as well, you could think about putting an 81 in the neck and an 85 in the bridge. If you have two pickups that is. I actually think EMG does their stuff solderless now too. Could be cool. At least you won't have to do what I did, since I was using active electronics and had to have batteries involved.

Hmmm. I've always been a rough around the edges sorta player, like those big rough chunky riffs.
And then I have my guilty pleasures that are really 80's like Billy Idol, who is aweosme.
Man, I'm so lost in the conversations going on to tonight

No way. You're going to be in the WSOP? You better wear a Ranger jersey on TV.
Edit - I believe this was my 15,000th post.
WSOP has like 60 tournaments a year. Very little receives attention outside the poker world. The best most events will get is an article for the eventual winner or someone famous who final tabled, interview, sound bite etc.
Within the poker world though, a bracelet is worth as much as a year's earnings.
