What do you guys reckon will happen if by the Trade Deadline we are in a Playoff spot but Getzlaf and Perry are unsigned?

Lets have Ryan probe for longer than a few days that's he's an acceptable option at the 2C. Another few days of NHL practice won't kill Rakell. Once he's gone then the options are a lot more limited.

When did we ever trade for a big name ufa and sign him??? How often have we chased any ufas who are anything but marginal role players? (and please don't try to say Winnick was a top ufa signing. He is a role player who has pleasantly surprised.) We have no positive track record in this respect.

While I have no problem with the idea of moving Holland to land a 2C, I do think that player should at least be Bobby's age or younger. We need to get someone in their prime years and relatively close in age to the young core that's being built.

So I guess Allen should be included into the Eminger-Sutton-Foster-club.
That's too much. He's been subpar no doubt but that group you mentioned is the god awful group. Allen is also providing some toughness to the lineup, which we need. He just needs some sheltered minutes.
Forgot to mention that i thought Staubitz was much more effective than DSP. Although id like to see Maroon there.
Allen is nowhere near as bad as he's being made out to be on these boards. He just needs to take less penalties and get his defensive partner back.

Agreed. He's certainly nowhere near the Sutton/Eminger/Boynton level. He's ideal in a #4-5 role hopefully he can settle into that here.
