Hope he does well for you guys. He never was able to crack our top 6 in Montréal, even though we were riddled with injuries last year.

Perhaps they see something in him. Lake Erie plays Hamilton quite often. We'll see I guess.

Yeah we don't claim anyone.

Palushaj is a pretty good forward with good potential. I think Boychuk has more potential, but Aaron is a safer player. I actually like this.

Palushaj boasts well-honed game all around, with a combination of hockey intelligence, speed, and work ethic. He can stickhandle and make smart passes, and isn't afraid to fight for possession of the puck.

I remember having this guy on a NHL game a year or two ago, seems to be another typical high level AHL player that just can't crack a NHL roster.

DVG back to Lake Erie.

I'm quite happy with this pickup. If we keep Mitchell on the 2nd line with Stastny and Hejduk, we can ice an Olver-Sgarbossa-Palushaj and see if it works at a 3rd scoring line with sheltered minutes. At very least Palushaj gives a bit of winger depth on the right side.

Sherman screwed up! He wasn't drafted in 2006, what's he thinking!?

Never got a chance in MTL. Those 41-games he played were on the 4th lines. No one knows his true potential yet.

Maybe I am just connecting too many dots, but this seems like we are not going to shop a defensemen until Wilson is healthy. It was rumored we were looking to trade a depth defensemen for a forward before Wilson got injured (which may be a reason we didn't claim Boychuk). Now with Wilson hurt, we are trying to gain some forward depth without giving up any assets.

Nope, what is going to happen is he will develop good chemistry with Stastny and Hejduk being a PPG player and then he will have some type of effin rare disease like smallpox and will miss the entire season then will never be the same.

Are there coyotes in Colorado? I can see something coyote related happening. Just a feeling though.

Wow I didn't think the accountant knew how the waiver system worked.

Maybe next thing he'll do is waive one of our crappy dmen and call someone up from LEM.

Free depth on the wing, not complaining.

When was the last time the Avs claimed someone from waivers?

He must have been targeted prior to this, it's not like we're the New York Waiversnatchers or something.

Well I guess this means Lando or ROR won't be coming back for awhile. Finally a waiver claim.

I guess Turgeon put up half-respectable numbers the year he played.

Turgeon was done for when he played for us. I'm amazed he put up as many points as he did.

I guess we can thank Theo for our only Playoff series win in the last several years.

O'Byrne was a solid pickup last year, I think for him it's just getting re-adjusted to NHL level of competition, because he was never that great of a player, just a solid defender.
