Meh, had no future with the team at this point. Not good enough for the top 6 and not reliable enough or physical enough to play on the bottom 6. At least that opens up a contract spot for the deadline.

Poor Hamilton this disaster of a season continues to go south, but glad to see him get a shot in the NHL somewhere else, did not see him having a future with the Habs but the Dogs could have used the help.

Alexandre Bolduc placed on waivers, claim him.

Surprised he got claimed. Sad for Hamilton. Immaterial for the Habs, though, aside from the minor effect of having a slightly less competitive minor league environment for the rest of our prospects to develop in.

Hope he finds his way in Colorado, but I can't say I'm optimistic. D'Agostini showed more spark and drive to me, and he is kind of on the fringes too now after his one big surprise season. I thought Ben Maxwell was a bit smoother and smarter than Palushaj, and he isn't going anywhere either now that he has bounced to a few other addresses. Etc, etc. Best wishes for Palushaj all the same, of course. Always get attached to our prospects coming through.

I'd rather have the disaster in the AHL than the NHL.

Unless we have a repeat of last year's injury plagued season, he had zero chance of playing any games with the Habs.

Good luck in Colorado!

why would the Habs do that? I can't say i've paid any attention to him but not sure where he would fit on the Habs.

You and every Hab fan in the world. But I'm also a huge Dogs fan so it's painful to watch them play although it's easily off-set by how good the Habs look currently.

A Wolverine will ALWAYS be picked....

Sad to see him go mostly for Hamilton. As far as the trade is concerned...thank god D'Agostini is stalling in his development. 'Cause that would be ANOTHER loss in the trade front. Yet, D'Ago did have a 21-goal season.

Not expecting to see Palushaj flourish elsewhere though it wouldn't be the first time it happens...A new start might be just what he needed.

You have to feel for the Dogs though and some help would be needed.

But you have to wonder (at least a little bit) how such a disastrous season will affect our plethora of rookies. Not to mention that the entirety of our top defensive prospects are currently in Hamilton

They should probably consider signing a few guys to try and turns things around. Something along the lines of Rolston/Langkow/Jason Blake (don't know about these guys specifically, but you get the idea)

Damn. I liked what I saw from Aaron last season in the few games he played with the habs. He always outplayed his opposition when on the 4th line. Has good wheels, not strong on feet, but still an intelligent player. Hope he does well with the Avs.

The Blues top-9 is;
Perron - Backes - Oshie
Steen - McDonald - Tarasenko
Sobotka - Berglund - Stewart

D'Ago, offensively, is as talented (or more-so) than Sobotka and Stwart, but they just fit the third line better than him.

Langenbrunner also doesn't play often either, and I think he could still contribute on other teams.
D'Agostini wouldn't dream of being as talented as Stewart

When a team claims a guy off waivers (like Colorado claiming Palushaj), are there any restrictions on what they can do w him? ie can they turn around and send him to the AHL or does he have to stick w the team for the balance of the year?

You do know that Stewart went from a 1st liner to a 3rd liner because he's been struggling so bad, right? Yeah, St. Louis plays a defensive system, but other players still produce. D'Agostini had a far better production rate last year.

If he sticks with Colorado, good for him, if not then we get him back and send him to Hamilton.

Yeah another loss like the
Rivet for MaxPac + Gorges
Gill for 2nd
AKost for 2nd
Grabovaski for 2nd
Chipchura for 4th
Huet for 2nd
Tinordi trade up in 2010

Losing all these amazing players in trade is exaggerates by the media. The only really bad recent trade is Gomez (who was borderline top line center) for McDonagh who was underrated obviously.
