Colorado is either really hurting, or they're dumb as ****.

Best of luck, though.

Yeah how dumb of Colorado to pick a player with some potential for free. What dumb management.

Aaron who?

Let's be honest... he was never going to crack our lineup.. unless we had a million injuries.

Godspeed, Aaron.

Not many are complaining on behalf of the habs, it's really those who feel bad for Hamilton that are a bit disappointed.

AHL All-star potential ? What a great find...

If he ever sticks in the NHL I'll gladly eat crow, but if I were you, I wouldn't hold my breath.

The Habs don't have to collect (much less store) every seashell on the beach. Even the surplus ones collect a salary. They have better ones now and more are on the way. Who in particular? How about Collberg, for instance?

It would be funny if Aaron goes on to score like 20 goals this year for the Avs..

lol why are you mad? Colorado loses absolutely nothing in picking up Palushaj other than he is another contracted added to the contract limit. If he pans out, good for them, if he doesn't, who cares, they wasted no asset to pick him up. I really don't see how Colorado is "dumb as ****" for picking up a player with a little bit of potential. There is no risk in this move at all on their part.

The only way that could happen is if the team that put him on waivers doesn't agree to take him back, as you can't send waiver claims to the AHL without the original NHL team getting said player back and then said player can send player to their AHL team. So the odds aren't very good, although that was under the old cba so I don't know what if any changes were made.

Yes, they have to keep Palushaj on the NHL roster, if they try to send him down, the Habs can get Palushaj back.

I hope they enjoy having him. He did very little for the Habs.

Oh no, Bergevin lost a key Gauthier rebuild centrepiece.

Fire him before he gives away Pateryn or Schultz.

Watch him score 20 goals for the Avs! Let's be honest, Palushaj would of never cracked the Habs lineup. Colorado will give him some ice-time.

If I were them, I would have used one of Colorado's prospects that are going nowhere fast instead of someone else's, but that's just me.

If we need to call up a winger because of injuries Lablanc is already ahead of Palushaj even if Louis is struggling.

Before the Habs get him back, other teams that wanted him get first crack, unless Colorado was the only team that made a claim.

A couple of years ago, Jay Leach was claimed by the Habs and played a few games, then they tried to place him on waivers and rather than NJ getting him back, San Jose took him.

Guaranteed that if GOAT was GM you and all these manic depressives would flip a lid and add it to the list of "AWFUL MOVES THAT OCCURED UNDER THE REIGN OF THE ANTICHRIST".

It's right up there with not signing Hamrlik!

Nope, but since u mention it, adding the dagostini trade firmly to the negative asset management ledger. Blues clearly got more out of the move than we did, palushaj not providing nearly the same positive impact & performance than what the blues got... In a period when production from top 9 wingers was a regular issue.

Really? He didn't play only a few games. He played almost half the season and scored only 1 goal. He rarely impressed me and I always thought he was weak on the puck.

He didn't play 41 consecutive games though. He bounced up and down all year. I thought he looked awful in his first couple of stints, but near the end of last season he looked quite good on the 4th line, good enough imo to have at least warranted a look in a more involved position. However, he did get passed on the depth chart, so I'm not gonna complain that he didn't get his chance. I hope he does well in Colorado.

Ironically, Palushaj kind of ended up in the same boat as D'agostini in the end (expect the former didn't get traded). Both just weren't good enough to keep a spot in the lineup and had to pass through waivers to be sent down. The case of D'agostini we opted for a trade (which I don't think would have been possible with Palushaj, never showed as much as D'agostini did, but let's face it D'agostini wasn't jaw dropping good, but was better than Palushaj at the same age).

I just hope that if Palushaj does well we don't whine that Bergevin let an asset go for nothing without taking into account the context of Palushaj's movement.
