In other news, I added about four new people to my ignore list today.

Wow.

Damn TP that SUCKS. I would be pissed.

Was it the wrist joint itself, hand, or the forearm?

Broke the radius AND ulna. Did the same thing on the other arm in high school hockey senior year (played through that with a cast though). Good news is I'm probably done with that particular injury...

Better be. What a dick. How long are you in the cast?

Kind of reminds me of a pick-up game I was in two winters ago. I was god-awful, but it was me, my step-dad, who played through high school and college but was by then in his mid-30s, and my aunt, who had just transferred from the lady badgers to the lady mavericks. Us three against four mid-30s+ guys who took it easy for a while and then just went as hard as they could once we went up 2-0.

My little sister, who was 4 at the time, decided to open up the door and skate out. One of the guys on the other team was skating backwards full throttle and nailed her in the face with his ass. She slammed down on the ice so hard. Some guys just don't know how to let off a bit.

I'm late on this, but Jarick got RT'ed by Russo...

I was amazed at how many HFers follow each other. Kinda cool.

Russo is typically pretty awesome in terms of replying to his followers. And of course giving them credit for corrections and things of that nature.

I think he's responded to me every time I've asked him a question. He's very fan-friendly on Twitter.

Hah, I corrected Russo on his stats! That's sad. I thought he had me on ignore honestly, hadn't had any Twitter interaction with him since I ripped Nick Schultz.

Anyone here watch(ing) House of Cards on Netflix? I just finished the 1st episode and thought it was great.

Also for those of you in a relationship, how do you refer to your significant other? E.g. do you just call them "my boy/girlfriend"? Because being in a relationship going on 5 years now that seems immature and doesn't give enough weight to the relationship, makes it sound like some run-of-the-mill 6 month thing. I'm trying to figure out a better phrase/word. Someone I know calls their SO a partner which I think is better than GF/BF but not quite there.

Lol I don't remember, I followed Jarick, and Victorious secret.

Who's got twitter I'll follow and tweet you so you know it's me.

Just don't mention my hf name on twitter cause I have to hide my name from my HF account or else I'd get into some trouble for certain things I've said on here.

You'll know it's me, I'll talk about something I have brought up recently. Because I said I few things I have to e careful cause if traced back I'll get in ****.

I thought "partner" is used more in the LGTB-community.

That being said, I simply call my significant other "a hand".

Yeah it is, but among the ideas of using partner is it's gender neutral, and therefore more inclusive. If everyone or more people used something like that it'd make it so homosexuals wouldn't have to kinda out themselves to strangers or a group or anything ya know?

I'm not really 100% sold on that but i do think it's kind of stupid that the word partner is so LGBT now. I've called my SO my partner before and people immediately jump to "you're gay?" which i mean the tone they say that with is a whole conversation unto itself.

girlfriend is about as universally okay as you can get. "Better Half", "Old Lady", "Chicca" or just "Girl" sound improper or cheesy in different situations.

I was my wife's "Boy" before we were engaged. Just get engaged if you're together more than 5 years so you can say fiance.

Not getting engaged at 22.

Girlfriend, although I accidentally called her the wife a couple times recently

Partner = I assume you're in a committed homosexual relationship.

If you're still in college and dating someone for five years...man that's a long time! I always thought you should probably be able to put a ring on it or find someone else after about two. But that's me.

I don't see the need to get married yet. What would it do for us? Right now we don't need the financial benefits and when I see my friends getting married this young it looks like they are getting married to validate their relationship to everyone else, to prove that "yeah we're pretty good". Marriage at this point in my life does nothing. We don't need to validate our relationship because we know it's great and marriage will come when it comes. And I also don't want to be that couple that has been engaged for >1 year.
