Another small, wimpy forward. Just what we need to get out of this neverending rut.

That's how I feel too.

If a guy has worked hard he should get the promotion. This way all the other guys will see that there's a chance for them, even if they don't fill the hole of exactly what we need.

I think it's amusing when people complain about the offense not clicking then we bring up a guy who has scored before and then complain again...

He has never scored before that's the issue. He isn't going to be able to help with the loss of Horc or Belanger and he is a wild card to whether or not he has NHL talent. There is reason for people to have concerns. We have NHL quality players that are getting pushed around, so ya bringing up Arcobello's size is okay.

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets top 6 ice time. Maybe the reason we called him up is to get more balance in the bottom 6. Vande Velde is not capable of playing an offensive role.

Would like to see

Hall - Gagner - Hemsky
Yakupov - Arcobello - Eberle
Smyth - Nugent-Hopkins - Petrell
Hartikainen - Lander - Paajarvi

Could be a Ryan Potulny kind of call up. Remember how good he was playing for us that year?

Krueger loves to play all 4 lines. You can not role 4 lines with it looking like this:

Hall - Nugent-Hopkins - Eberle
Yakupov - Gagner - Hemsky
Smyth - Arcobello - Petrell
Hartikainen - Lander - Paajarvi

Just my opinion, could be wrong.

Three straight losses, time to shuffle the lines anyways.

Can't wait to see him out there. He looked great playing with Hall, Eberle, and Schultz in the AHL. Definitely deserves a chance.

Who was Arcebello playing with when RNH was in the WJC?

I'm interested in seeing what he's got because I've never seen him play before, but I was really hoping for someone with a bit more grit and size to their game ideally someone from outside of the organization: trade, UFA, etc.

I think Kreuger is going to change the lines to this:
Hall/Gagner/Eberle
Yak/RNH/Hemsky
Smyth/Arc/Petrell
PRV/Lander/Harti

without Horc you cant consider Smyth-Arco-Petrell line to be better than Harti-Land-Paajarvi

What about some crazy shake-up?

Hartikainen-Gagner-Yakupov
Hall-Arco-Eberle
Paajarvi-RNH-Hemsky
Petrell-Lander-Smyth

3 lines (don't take anything from the order I put them in) that are very equal and can chip in. We are not going to be able to win games, by shutting down the opposition while missing our top two defensive forwards. Might as well go into all attack mode.

Maybe move Gagner to play with Smyth and Petrell. Let's see if Gagner is ready to be the offensive star on a line.
I think you want Gagner to carry a line, not drag around 2 anchors with seemingly no offensive capabilities whatsoever, one of whom (Smyth) shouldn't even be in the NHL.

He hasn't played in the NHL so just put him on the 3rd or 4th line and see how it goes.

So I guess when a player proves his call up worthiness by playing hard and working hard, he does not deserve a call up to the bigs for a look? Because he does not fit the ever desired specifications of size and weight? Because if he is not 6'2" and 210 lbs he is not worthy of coming up for the big club to see what he can contribute?

OK then. Good call.

I can't wait to see what Arcobello can do up here.

Good for Arco, and nice to see him get a chance finally, albeit in tough circumstances. Team can't score, can't win a draw, just lost the two best draw-taking and checking centres, getting outshot every game and is on a 3 game losing skid. No pressure kid. I hope he just goes out there and does what he's done in OKC and nothing else. Don't want him to change his game.

He's small, but for those who are cringing because of that, Brad Marchand says hi. I hope Arco is a little bit of a pain in the ass to play against.

And what has VV done in his numerous call ups? Who gives a ****. It's like switching from Miller Lite To Coors lite. I would bet a bigger move is coming. Gotta love being a Fan.

Smyth and Petrell looked better as of late, but even if it is to carry a line. If he can continue to produce it gives us options.

People forget about guys like Briere and St Louis.

I hope they put him with Hall and Eberle. They put up more points in OKC with him than with RNH.

Let Yakupov play with Nuge.

People demoting RNH to the third line in favor of Arcobello. Unbelievable.
