What will it take to retire Blake's jersey?

And I meant to say sgreat for some reason.

Anyway, I don't think he will suck but I don't think he is going to have a dramatic enogh of an impact to warrant it. I think he will do well the next 2 years but "well" won't cut it. IMO you need to be simply phenominal to have your jersey retired and anything less won't do.

Unless something crazy happens I don't think I will look back on his career and put him in that category...great but not dominant enough.

Me thinks Blakey's will be the next one up the rafters after Luc's.

Right in a way I am making the assumption that we all feel that he was "on his way" to becoming one of those Kings that should have that honor...But now that he's back does winning cure it?

What if the Guy puts up 2 Norris seasons then retires? I don't think he will but if he did I might change my mind.

I would love that to happen because it would mean a few outstanding years of hockey had just been witnessed by all of us.

Can't wait for the season to start, good or bad at least its hockey!

Blake is the best defender or hold most all record for the Kings plus he was drafted by us. He spent so many seasons with us and has done so much in the past I think that will warrant it. I mean there is a reason no one was allowed to use his number I think it is obvious they want to retire it

After only 2 more years, probably, I'd guess; however, I think that he's a King for life now. After these 2 years are up, I think that he'll sign a 1-year deal with the club, and then another 1-year deal, and then likely retire. At that point, retiring his number will be a no-brainer.
