Kopitar "Incidental Contact" with Steve Mason

I think the Kings just got robbed of a goal... did anyone see any actual contact there? Refs seem to be overly enforcing this rule this season...

Just a brutal call, they really need to do something about the new enforcement of goalie interference because it's gotten out of hand

Bad call. But a makeup call for the Chicago BS we had. Also Mason sold it

His skates were in the crease, so I'm not sure they were calling contact with the goalie as much as Kopitar being in the crease. Not sure what the actual rule is.

Anything to do with the Zebras this year seems to be negative.

According to NHL.com:

Quote:
Interference on the Goalkeeper - This rule is based on the premise that an attacking player’s position, whether inside or outside the crease, should not, by itself, determine whether a goal should be allowed or disallowed.
I can't discern whether or not it is reviewable. Columbus just scored off a skate as well, with no review. I couldn't see much on TV, but these refs seem to be moving this game along pretty quickly.

There just... there was no contact, at all...

He wasn't in the crease. And the official call was incidental contact.

It's the call that's being heard all around the league season. It's almost like you can't screen a goalie anymore.

This call really needs to be reviewable. It seems like the refs manage to get it wrong every time.

Don't the Kings owe the Jackets one because of a clock malfunction last year? Could be thinking of the wrong teams though.

It would be nice if we were allowed to have a big GDT thread on the main board for all the games happening that day so that it would be easy to keep up with what's going on when multiple games are happening. I dunno why they aren't allowed.

Only if every team that has benefited from a bad call against LA similarly "owes" the Kings.

He was in the crease. The call shouldn't of been made but it honestly look like a make up since kopitar did hit mason on a shot right before the goal.

Yet another garbage no goal call.

If anything Brown should have got 2 minutes for interference prior to the goal.

Who cares, this Kings team should dismantle the Jackets, goal or no goal.

Its painful the Jackets scored right after it though.
