Andre Savard appreciation thread

He deserves it in my opinion, he's probably one of the biggest reasons we can actually look to the future. I dont know how the organization will replace him, but I just lost a lot of faith and I can guarantee you I wasnt expected this.

I was expecting it with Shero as a GM and is link with André. Plus I dont think its really a lost, he was out of the loop anyway. No replacement needed, Bob can GM for Hamilton too. Maybe Gauthier will be promoted or Doug Jarvis, or no promotion.

That being said, I appreciated everything Andre done for us, he was just not ready imo to be a full blown GM and came after a terrible job by Houle.(Worst in habs history?) He was just condemned to a very hard time in an organization empty of any decent assets.(Unlike Burke who came in with the Ducks team full of prospects.)

edit: lol brain fart, was in another thread talking about Serge's legacy.

He was a big part of our team. Farm team's GM assistant head scout. Assistant GM so he'll be tough to remplace.

He wasn't a charismatic GM like Bob!!!

But he deserve a lot of credit because after the peanut-era the team was awful and with AS and BG the team is finnally a hockey team!!!!

I think we all owe him a gratuitous thanks for a job well done in aiding our hab ship in the correct direction.

He will be missed

When Bob came, you knew it was just a matter of time . . . but we will miss his input.

Andre gave Bob the pieces. Now hopefully he can put them together.
