Yes, and as soft as Ribs has been he'd last longer than Eric, Jason and Jeremy in a 82 game season. Pretty pathetic, lol.

Lots of names out there besides these three, but J.R. could bring something, who knows till we try! (if he comes cheap enough, nothing to lose)

lol, are you serious?

Roy is 5'9 and under 190lbs, Drury is 5'10 and around 180lbs while hecht who is slightly bigger (6'1, and a shade under 200lbs) is hardly a monster. Lets not forget the Sabres number one centerman? A little guy called Daniel Briere? Or how about Tim Connolly who is another guy that's under 190 lbs?

As for the Oilers?
Peca is 5'10 and close to 180lbs, Stoll is 6 foot and a shade over 200, and horcoff is 6'1 and a little under 200lbs...

Oh yes, all of these guys are giants.
Do some research next time, kiddo.

Based on last season alone, I think Lindros was the most effective player.

I would do with Roenick exactly what the Ducks did with Selanne. sign him for a million max, and if he has a great season, reward him next year.

after all, Roenick wants a low salary with performance bonuses. I'm sure he would be better than Bulis and Sundstrom

JR

I love the guy, pure entertainment vocal leader wants to win and wants to prove himself. I'd do it and wouldn't be forced into it, a 1 year deal helps bridge the gap till better UFAs or the young guys are ready.

JR, only because it seems he has something to prove and doesn't want to end his career how he had last season.

Lindros seems to lack the drive and the injuries have caught up to him, Allison is just too slow and can't be useful out there in the fast speed game today and his injuries aren't going to help either.

Choose your garbage to feast on, mes amis. You'd be in competition for these scraps only with the rats and alley cats. What have you done to us, Bob Gainey?

JR and Shanny and watch us go.

GOOD veterans, this team doesn't have enough of that, Saku and Kovy can only go so far in terms of leadership. JR and Shanny would be great leaders 1 year bridges until more youngsters and UFAs. You cannot go wrong, these guys are certainly better than Bulis, Sundstrom, Ribeiro and Zednik. Sign them up see how they do and the impact they have. Nothing to lose, unless BG is signing an RFA or making a major major trade there is cap space that will stay unused if we don't sign one of these guys. These are short term deals we might as well use the space and see how they do.

Roenick, it's not even close. He's the only other player I would give a shot at if we can't get Shanahan.
