When a 19 year old in his first NHL game played the strongest you know the rest of the team sucked. Gabby and Richards are so brutal...for the money they make we could have so much more value. DZ struggled but it's the first game this year that he has. The big guys need to step up and step up consistantly.

Richards and Nash have 7 points each in 9 games and have been fairly consistent producers. If anyone is the problem in that trio it's Gaborik. He's gotta stop with the hatrick every 2 weeks act.

Very interesting that Torts put his boy Boyle into the doghouse tonight.

Stralman, Miller, Kreider.
Am I the only one that thought Del Zotto was ****ing horrendous tonight?

First star is definitely Del Zotto for taking a penalty to prevent the guido from getting a hat-trick.
I don't know about this one.
Oh wait, yes I do. Not a chance.

Voted for Stu Pickles, Miller Time, and the 93-94 Rangers. They were probably the only ones who didn't do anything to help the Devils.

My exact votes, my exact thoughts. Del Zotto and Gaborik dogged it unbelievably hard.

Last 40 minutes was impressive, but the first period shortcomings on the PP did us in. Brodeur looked good and the Devils cashed in on opportunities. It's now almost 10 games in, and I'm done giving them a free pass. Time to wake up.

No harm in that. The Devils are an elite hockey team coming off of a 100 pt season and SCF appearance.

In all fairness to Del Zotto...he simply had a flashback to last year's ECF and wanted to prove that yes, he could suck even more vs the Devils.

Felt like a weird game. Maybe it was just the MSG broadcast having really ****** sound but the whole game just seemed to lack energy or any feeling. Nothing seemed in sync or like it ever settled down
At any rate the Rangers maybe need to figure this thing out quick and it's time for Torts to stop the optional skates and days off. The team looks like it needs practice and to stop overthinking everything that happens on the ice

Delzotto was available on the first NJ goal with his usually lost in space look on his face.
he practically lost the series against NJ last year single handedly.
Ship him and Stepan out the frickin door...

It's hard to imagine that this team can string two good games together, they haven't shown that ability to do so.

Also moved Gaborik down to the third line with Halpern + Pyatt.

Well, the Rangers are pretty boring, ya know.
Now we can only hope Mike Sullivan falls asleep during a game so the powerplay might wake the hell up.

And what is the point of dressing Stu Bickel if he only plays 3:39? I'm sure Eminger can handle more than that. At least Miller looked good in a 3rd line role.
