IF you can do 25 reps of 195, you should be benching 225 x 6 no problem.

As long as you don't have her wear a Leafs #81 jersey it's all good.

Passion. Like Bert said. HE isn't the same guy who jumped three feet into the glass when he scored. Or had to let his stick cool off after back to back 60g seasons.

I think he needs to go somewhere where he is a rockstar. Which means Canada. IN Washington, There is some kid named Strasburg who is already bigger than him. The Capitals as a team are behind the RedSkins, and Nationals.

Ovi to Vancouver. HE would be the Rockstar he needs to be.

I had leftover chicken and rice in the fridge, and enough veggies to chop up .. Worked out very well

Used up all my veggies too so I can go grocery shopping tomorrow

I'm wondering if 195lbs on this "universal machine" is the same as 195 lbs using a bench+bars/plates. Cause honestly, 25 reps of 195lbs in one set is crazy, like charlio said.

I've done both.

The universal machines are good but with the free weights you have to ballance them and in most cases bring them lower. The universal machines only go so low and unless you have a large ribcage it is like starting part way up.

Dumbell presses are the best since you can actually lower the dumbells past the top of your chest.

You guys wanna know what exercises I do? Bodyweight exercises (pull ups, dips, muscle ups, hand stand pushups are all amazing btw) and free weight compound exercises: bench press, squats, dead lifts, bent over rows, shoulder press, dips, pull ups. And HIIT with sprints for my cardio.

Definitely easier on a universal, you don't have to worry about keeping the bar balanced and your stabilizer muscles in your wrists don't have to be particularly strong

Actually I dislike using universal machines because they're not that good for you, but I use the bench just so I can build up some power in my chest .... That's one reason why I do the dumbbell bench press later on, so I build those stabilizer muscles up

My dumbbell bench press I do 20 reps of two 45lbs dumbbells .. And I rotate my wrists every other lift, so the dumbbell lines vertically with my body, to get extra strength in my forearms

Why are you doing such high reps?

I remember in high school, guys wanted to see who can do the most reps, but majority of kids were too weak to do a high number. Me and my gym buddy at the time did like 27 each. They were only doing one plate on each side, was a huge joke..

For toning my body ... I'm not looking to bulk up and add a ton of muscle, so I do high reps to tone of lesser weight .. I could increase my weight if I wanted to, but I try to maximize the amount of weight and the number of reps to get a good combination of strength and toning

Well that's just it. The weight you are using seems high to be doing that many reps.

That's a misconception. High reps does not equal a tonned body. A toned body is entirely to do your diet and cardio but all a higher number of reps do is build up your slow twitch muscle fibers.
