He is an underrated and whoever lands him will get a quality kid. He comes from the St Louis Jr Blues organization and Mark Carlson has made a killing off STL kids in recent years.
That's what I gathered from those I've spoken to. I think he may be worth a 7th round flyer.

I dont think you will see Clark drafted this year, but with a good year next year which I expect, you could see him drafted in 2nd year eligible. I live in Cedar Rapids so I see him play alot. Good kid with a good head on his shoulders.

Like you said RPI is looking at him, and I have seen their scouts at 2 or 3 games this year. I was told by our local reporter they have waited in the locker room to speak with him after the game.

Names are starting to leak for the upcoming NTDP camp in late March. USHR states they've heard seven names prominently with Brendan Warren, Brent Gates, Dennis Yan, Luke Kirwan, and Jordan Greenway (I'm not a member so I can't see the last two names). Rumblings that Kirwan, Yan, and Hanifin have already committed (there's probably more than that already). Anyone hearing anything else?

Good to see Yan committing or at least interesting in representing us.

I am a member: Last two names are Noah Hanifin and Zach Werenski

It is also saying that Chicago Mission's Christian Fischer has been offered a spot.

Good to hear another local kid. Heard that he might get offered a spot. Seen him play a few times throughout this season. Mission are always pretty loaded with talent.

Jack Eichel played for NTDP U18s vs Lincoln tonight. Scored a goal late in the first period. U18s won 5-3.

edit: It was actually Eichel's 2nd game with the U18s. He also played with them on Wednesday vs Chicago.

That would be huge if players like Kirwan, Yan, and Hanifin sign up for the NTDP, even if its only for a year, especially for Yan if he signs up, hopefully that would make him want to play for the US.

Speaking of Yan, how is he doing this year with Belle Tire, I know he has the elite vision, skill, and is an elite goal scorer but I'm curious since I haven't seen him play yet and have only seen a couple of highlights of him on Youtube when he was younger.

OHL Leading goal scorers:

1.) Reid Boucher (Grand Ledge, MI) 57 Goals
2.) Vincent Trocheck (Pittsburgh, PA) 42 goals
3.) Garret Ross (Dearborn Heights, MI) 39 goals

USA having the top 3 goal scorers in the OHL is somewhat unexpected.

I wonder how Don Cherry is going to react to that.

HAHAHAHA.

The OHL is a hotbed for US players. It keeps growing and growing every year. Happy to see that and I think all three players will be playing pro next season...they all likely start out in the AHL, but pro none the less.

I agree. I loved Garrett Ross last year we ranked him fairly high, there was no doubt he has pro potential but he keeps getitng better. Ross was the most improved player on Saginaw last year, and I had one of the players on the Spirit tell me earlier this year Ross is the most improved player from last year to this year as well. It's amazing how far he's come.

Chicago used a 5th to draft an older player in Andrew Shaw two years ago, and we saw how that worked out. Exact same situation the next year and they drafted Garret Ross. Looks like they're 2 for 2 on great 5th rounders the last two years. Both play with so much heart.

I'd agree that all three go pro and IF (and thats a big if) one guy returned I would actually say it's the highest scorer of the three (Boucher) but I would be surprised if any of them return.

Vincent Trocheck's linemate in Plymouth Ryan Hartman (West Dundee, IL) has been fantastic in all of my viewings of him. Same guy every game. Hardest working player in the draft. First shift or last shift that kid leaves it all on the ice. Most players at this level can't match his compete level on a shift by shift basis.

Has anyone watched Boucher play? Some pretty heady numbers hes putting up. Ive read his profile on hockeysfuture, but can anyone give me a ballpark comparison to a current nhl'er? How impressive is it to get the sting goal scoring record and lead the OHL in goals?

At his age it's good, but it's not at the level of Stamkos, Tavares or Jeff Skinner's efforts in the OHL when they did it as 17 year olds.

Not a prospect but Jack Parker is stepping down as BU's coach. I bet Halifax has already called Jack Eichel.
