Maybe should petition to have Gazette subscriptions to be recognized as a charitable donation and then donate the paper to china which will help save our forests.

We can request to have them delivered straight to containers which will be shipped directly to our port destination china, which will help Gazette pay their hack journalists by saving on distribution costs.

You should go over to the appropriate forum and grovel for them to make it happen.

Since nobody reads the Gazette anymore looks like habs nation and PJ stock can now say they both share something in common. That would help heal the ***** wounds you guys are crying over

The ironic thing is PJ Stock is a Bruins homer. He always says what he "thinks", which is normally dramatic and sensational, just this time he reported it as fact and got busted.

If anyone is taking anything that PJ Stock says seriously, it's their loss. The guy is a tool and while he may have spent some time on the 4th line in the NHL for a bit, it doesn't make him the know-it-all he thinks he is. Bob McKenzie never played in the NHL.

What I find funny and may have been missed by most is that Subban showed up to the bell centre just after 10 am on that fateful day.
Later when the cbc aired the clip of PK Subban walking in all by himself Stock commented on how here's PK walking in all alone or something to that effect. There was no one there, off course not it was too early for most on a game day showing up for hrs before an afternoon game. What did Stock expect?

Apart from the fact that it was the exact same shot CBC always has of PK walking into the BC, along with him getting pumped up (aka being withdrawn) listening to music. It's EXACTLY what they show during the playoffs or a big game, but somehow it's different now.

I haven't watched Antichambre since this happened. Did anyone bring up their chum PK err PJ? Part of me actually thinks it's him hanging out with THAT crowd that got Stock talking like this. Then again, he has nothing useful to say thus warming the air around him as he speaks about his favourite new theory.

This is a big reason why sports journalists have little credibility in journalism. You don't fight over sources you can't name.

For people who think Stubbs is a Habs cheerleader, I have to say that's not quite the case. He's a feature writer. There's a big difference in writing features than there is in covering the day-to-day "news" of the team. That's Pat Hickey's job. Features are meant to be up-close, personal kinds of stories. By nature, the writer has to get to know the subject at least a little bit, and when that happens, there's a level of trust established between the writer and subject. So, inevitably, Stubbs has a fair bit of knowledge about what goes on behind the scenes. He can't, however, betray the trust he's got with the players and reveal things they tell him in confidence. His job is to tell us a bit about the real people behind the faces we see on the ice, not to spill their dirty secrets. What it all means is he's never going to write crap just to stir things up, and when he talks about what the players think, he actually [B]knows[B] what they think because they tell him.

As for Stock, he's just not very bright and it's a shame HNIC gives him a platform. He's like a kid caught stealing candy, who tries to backpedal and say he meant to pay for it before he ate it. All this stuff about Subban could equally be applied to any player. We've seen footage of Price arriving alone before. We saw some tape in the 24CH video of players with towels over their heads, headphones in, staring into space as they mentally prepare for games. Are they all enemies? Of course not. P.K.Subban's name creates controversy because some people want a reason not to like him, and Stock uses that to generate attention for himself and his "theories." That's all it is.

Stock's defense of himself was mostly trying to transmute the discussion into something about him and Stubbs, and only ran perpendicular to the actual items that Stubbs tried to address factually (like him arguing that the idea that Prust and Subban going to dinner could any way be a legitimate challenge to his clearly stated assertion that "nobody on the bench likes Subban"), an assertion he essentially danced around throughout the call.

Stubbs is right to remove himself from the discussion as much as he has, because his intent was not to attack Stock, but to say that Stock's statements based on the information he presented on HNIC were irresponsible.

To separate people from positions is a very clear, fundamental rule of productive negotiation and debate, and Stock's attempt to repeatedly make it about the people (Stubbs/Stock) involved rather than the facts of the debate, as on TSN 690 last night, is transparent and intellectually dishonest.

Stock & Stubbs high-fiving eachother for all the extra attention.....

that's what media is about... that's how they gauge success. They don't care who is right etc... they just want hits/viewers/tweets whatever
