I'm still quite bummed about the outcome. It was in our grasp.

I usually don't like to blame the refs for a loss but they completley changed the with that crappy call.

True. The D could've prevented those goals against in the first period though.

One of the favorables is that despite a bad situation and referreeing that literally gave the game to the opponent, it was still a 1 goal game with good chances being generated.

Maybe we can package Clowe, Murray and a D for Stephen Weiss he'd play well with Couture.

I know that would never happen but ****.

Two questions...

1. Since the hit on Mayers was a hit to the head, why didn't he go to the quiet room?
2. Which linesman did Vlasic drill with the puck?

1. He went to the phantom quiet room after the phantom headshot which drew the phantom penalty.

2. He drilled Murray.

So Karma did play itself out for the linesman...

The team ought to win these next three games, but Murray ought to the have seen the pressbox by now and that hasn't happened.

The refs may have helped give the Hawks a goal, but the Sharks defense (or lack thereof) cost them 1-2 points.

Realistically, with how they dealt with Colin White's poor play last year, I expect them to keep icing Murray unless he is injured. Even with the return of Burns I expect them to take Irwin off and ice something like:

Vlasic-Burns (was good last year)
Braun/Demers-Boyle
Murray-Stuart (going to be really bad for Stuart if that happens)

Irwin is most likely going to be sent back to the AHL.

hopped on over to NHL.com to watch some highlight, saw they had an "analysis" of the game. It appears Kevin Weekes didnt even watch the game, yet here he is telling it like it is from the highlights. The host asking him questions must have been pissed since twice he tried to talk about momentum from the Desi hit and Weekes clearly has no idea what to say

They abolished the quiet room at the end of last season.

They really don't care what happens to the Sharks.

Over at Hockeybuzz, (I know, I know) Cam Gore said that Doug Wilson was furious outside the locker room. Told the reporters to go hang out outside the referees room. I hope thats true.

I'm hoping he's pissed that TMac played Murray over Demers against a fast, high-potent offense.

Brodie Brazil ‏@brodiebrazilCSN
The Desjardins match penalty has already been rescinded, and apologized for by #nhl, to #sjsharks

Um too little to late NHL! Thanks a lot!
