While it sucks they don't have a for real new releases page, there's like 500 sites devoted to what's new.

FYI, this is actually a decent little site: http://can.whatsnewonnetflix.com/
It also lists what's expiring and will be removed from Netflix

"Find Me Guilty"- funny little indie mob movie based on a true story

one of the funnier tv shows I have watched. It's all sports related to, mostly football.

Netflix?

So I just got access to it, browsed around and at first glance, I'm a bit disappointed by the selection (or my lack of ability to find stuff).

What stands out to you as worthwhile things available on it? Is there a better way to find things without weaving through all the crappier titles?

I'm watching Californication right now and I liked the first episode.

first season of hell on wheels is there. freaks and geeks. peep show. reno 911. doctor who is there if you're a fan of that. i know they put comedy specials up there too.

usually i just navigate around on the website, add what looks interesting to my instant queue and go from there. right now the wife and i are going through animated superhero movies. they have some really good ones on there.

American selection is waaaay better than the Canadian selection, however oddly certain things are missing - in particular, Californication is available on Canadian netflix but not American.

If you want to access American Netflix (and hulu too too) on firefox or chrome, check out a little something called MediaHint. If you want to access it on another device, just look around, there are lots of ways to get around it and it adds so many things.

Shows like Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Burn Notice, and White Collar are pretty good TV series to watch.

Plus they have shows like Scrubs, The League, and Workaholics for good comedies to watch and re-watch.

EDIT: Just realized you might be talking about the Canadian selection. Not sure if those shows listed above are available for you then.

Netflix has pretty much all of the AMC selection. Actually the TV selection in Canada is phenomenal. I think it's the movie selection in Canada that really pales in comparison to the selection in the USA.

You guys can correct me if I am wrong, but I have seen tonnes of great series like: Walking Dead, Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, Buffy, Angel, House of Cards, Sherlock, Dr. Who! Star Trek:TNG!

I am looking forward to Justified and Luther now.

Oops, outing myself as a nerd. Better go.

Allow me to underline House of Cards. It's awesome.

People always initally complain about Netflix's selection. It has improved every month I've had it and is now very good. I doubt I will ever get through my entire queue list. ALot of great selections.

It's a gift from god.

It enables me to not waste my time on garbage TV. Binge watching full shows is where it's at. I killed Sherlock on a Sunday, it was awesome.

Cut my TV bill from 80 to 18, and now I don't watch the Food Channel all the time.

Growing up, I saw very few movies until arounds the mid 2000s so I get to catch up plus see all the classics. Have both Netflix Canada + US. To get the UK one or Nordic ones that give you more movies as well, you have to subscribe to a $5/month service like Unblockus. What I just do though is use mediahint to watch Netflix US on the PC and if we wanna see it on the TV then I put in the DNS from PlaymoTV on the blu-ray player and Netflix US.

I cancelled cable too, got an OTA antenna. Watch more movies now than I did when I had cable. Use 1channel for TV shows.
