Good luck with that with this team sucking this bad the kids aren't going to mature into what they should. I dont see how anyone can support this management anymore. When you look at the players that Chicago, LA, Pittsburgh, Carolina, Anaheim, Detroit all brought in or had to show there young stars the way. The only exception to the rule really was Boston who built through free agency, and good trades more then anything.

The problem is your statement is false. This team has been competitive in every game except for one this year. Not sure how you find sucking this bad in that, and that the kids somehow have stunted development. Furthermore it's the kids carrying the team and doing quite well which would seem to indicate they're developing.

We haven't won a cup yet, anything short of that with the amount of crap hockey we had to watch for the last 3 seasons is unacceptable. Th kids may be good now but they'd be even better playing with some real vets. For an example look at Anaheim, I don't for a second think that Getzlaf and Perry become the players they do without being mentored by Selanne. Then you have Carolina who had Brindamour mentoring Staal. Pittsburgh had Mario come out of retirement for a bit and brought in good cheap vets like Guerin. Chicago brought in Brian campbell to help supplement and lead a young Seabrook and Keith. And of course Detroit had Zetterberg and Datsyuk play behind Shanahan and Yzerman. The Oiler's right now are projecting to be more of a Atlanta style rebuild then a Pittsburgh or Chicago.
