I'd pass on that. The Flyers would then have three goalies under the cap. The loss of Gagne would be a huge mistake and concern and the return above would not be favorable.

The front six on D right now are Baumgartner, F. Meyer, Hatcher, Rathje, Pitkanen, and Gauthier; there are players in the system, too. This D unit is not exactly a thing of beauty right now but the team needs to sign its RFA and see what is up with Primeau, IMHO, for cap purposes before making any other major changes.

yeah i agree on this one. we have some guys that need to get re-signed (pits, r.j., gags, nitty) before we start worrying about too much else. i do however really want them to make a push for anson carter, he'd go well with j. carter and r.j.

A Carter wouldn't fit well with J. Carter at all. Both are finishers.

Even if we weren't, Abi does nothing to fix that situation.

We're not happy in the sense that we've got 2 good goalies but we can't seem to stop switching in between them. Ah....good ol' Hitch.

Actually i think your wrong, Abi is actually a better net minder than either Esche or Nitti. JMO

Maybe Esche but not Nitty. Actually sometimes he is better than both. Both of our goaltenders are inconsistent. Esche will probably stay that way while Nitty will probably improve.

How about this

Ryder and Markov for Gange and Hatcher and maybe a pick.

They are not giving us Markov. A deal centering around Ryder for Gagne though sounds decent.

Agreed 100%. Unless A Carter is playing on the third line with Richards, assuming the first line is back together when Forsberg returns, then there is no use for him on this team.

I want Jeff Friesen. Should be cheap, won a cup, plays well in the playoffs and can play on a couple different lines. He is only 30 and is a great skater.

That would be impossible, Markov is the only untouchable on BG's list, and there is no way that Hatchers slow feet would fit into MTL's plan, but Ryder is a possibility..like Souray and Ryder and Ribs for Gagne and Gauthier..ok ok no Ribs

How is Souray going to help? Gagne is the best player in this trade.

Ryder Higgins for Gagne and you get to keep Souray. Here is a for you too.

no

definitely pass, gagne would command more than that alone and gauthier is an annoying important guy on our team (he should be a #5, sadly he is more like #3)
