Agreed, the guy still goes out of his way to call Lou "Mr. Lamoriello". Clarkson isn't going anywhere, he loves this organization

but he is also ringing up the cash register with every goal. Can't complain if Clarkson has "arrived" if you will. Only fair we pay our potato farmer a good salary.

Also who ever made the image of Clarkson tossing that Nash credit card from the commercial with the big "Denied" get that thing saved because it will be so useful. Though maybe never more so then it was tonight.

Agreed. As long as Lou doesn't lowball him, he will be back, and probably well before the UFA period opens.

I heard Kenny D on satellite radio and he talked, at length, about Lou's loyalty. As he went on, for quite a bit actually, all I could think about was Clarkie and how he talks about Mr. Lamoriello. To me, this seems like a deal that'll get done (like Patty's will).

I'm afraid it will take more than that now, maybe before last year that might have gotten it done but 4 years for $19M might be considered a low ball offer.

Losing Zach may have been a blessing in disguise when it comes to allocation of funds.

losing zach @ the contract he's at is a blessing. that man is vastly overpaid in terms of real dollars and contract length.

that is the same cap hit as Hartnell, which I think is more than fair.

go to 5, $23 if you have to.

I'm thinking something like 6 yrs for $32-34M could get it done. Problem is if he gets to July 1st someone will blow whatever offer Lou gives him out of the water. Don't be surprise if someone like Toronto throws a 8 yr deal for more than $50M at him.

That sounds to me very plausible. I hope Uncle Lou can lock him up sooner then later.

Toronto can't offer 8 years.

I think the Zajac signing shows that Lou has reevaluated his style a bit after Zach left.. He won't let Clarky get close to FA unless Clarkson really wants to
